Every since I was young, I sat at my mother's knee and watched "The Young and the Restless". I remember being captivated by the lush sets, the extraordinary music, and, of course, the actors. Jess Walton is amazing as Jill Foster, Peter Bergman captivates me everyday, all of them definitely bring something to the table that no other soap has. I want to preserve Y&R, but Lynnn Marie Latham (Y&R's head writer and executive producer) seems to be destroying the show. Look at the current storylines! Jack a State Senator! Brad is a Jew! Dru sees "dead" Carmen Mesta and has to be institutionalized. This is not the show I watched at my mother's knee, I can assure of that. I will fight tooth and nail until "The Young and the Restless" returns to producing epic stories of romance, envy, and manipulation. Lynn Marie Latham should be fired, as well as her writing staff.
