Victoria is shocked and dismayed to learn that Victor has gifted Ashley with a seat on the NE Board of Directors, something he never did for Nikki. Abby feels Victor has done this out of guilt for the way he treated Brad, but is glad, nonetheless. Victor reminds Vikki that NE is HIS company, "Don't you ever forget it!" and boasts that the other Board members will go along with his decision.
Vikki worries that Ashley is too close to her untrustworthy brother, Jack. She seethes as Ashley, Abby and Colleen arrive.

Nick shows up to Sharon's suite, a day late and a dollar short, belatedly expressing expressing concern and anniversary platitudes, but Sharon is hungover, weepy and unimpressed. Nick leaves unconvinced that Sharon is alright.

Jack pays a visit to Billy, who is in much the same condition as Sharon. Jack figures out pretty quickly that Billy did not spend the night alone. Billy is eager to shower, change and get moving. Jack again puts pressure on Billy to step up and claim his daughter, but Billy tells him to back off.

Chloe's tubes are removed from her throat. She seems to be improving. Cane introduces her to Cordelia Katherine Valentine Ashby. Lily endures another temporary love-fest.

Esther rushes home to make Chloe some snickerdoodles. Lily leaves, also, which gives Cane a chance to ask Chloe, point blank, what was she doing at the cabin? Why would a 7& 1/2 mos. pregnant woman venture there in a terrible snowstorm, risking her life and that of their unborn daughter?

Victoria reminds Victor that she and Nick were driven from NE last year. It was she and Nick who stepped in to save the company after Victor disappeared and had his meltdown in Mexico. Shouldn't they have had some say in this crucial decision? She offers that this feels like a slap in the face.

At the hospital, Billy apologises to Lily. In the hospital room, Chloe initially pretends she can't recall what happened at the cabin; then relents and admits that there is something she needs to tell Cane. "You're going to hate me. You're not the father of this baby," Chloe sobs to an unbelieving Cane. Cane backs away from Chloe's bed, clutching little Cordelia tightly to him, glaring at Chloe. At this point, Billy enters the room. Cane snarls, "Get lost!" Billy replies, "I'm not going anywhere."

Cane protests that the DNA test proved that he is the father. Chloe quietly points out that the DNA test only proved that he couldn't be ruled out. Cane ponders a moment.."So no one else could be the father unless..." Billy finishes the sentence..."Unless, it's your brother."

At Crimson Lights, Karen pushes Neil about the adoption, who balks. Unable to get the vivid image of Neil and Tyra kissing, out of her mind, Karen asks Neil if he's had a chance to talk to Tyra. Neil promises that he will~soon.

Sharon gets another visitor~Jack! He offers a listening ear, empathy and no-strings support. Sharon is worn-out, doesn't feel like talking, doesn't want to "share."

Karen quickly heads for the patio and tells Tyra that not only are she and Neil thrilled to hear that Yolanda's parental rights have been terminated, Neil wants to move quickly on the adoption! Tyra is frustrated and flabbergasted. The social worker brings Ana over to them and Karen cannot help but notice how happy Ana is to see Tyra.

Cane tenderly places Baby Cordelia in a bassinet and asks the nurse to wheel her back to the nursery. He then wheels around and angrily confronts Billy and Chloe. Pointing a finger at Chloe, he gets her to admit that the sex between them never happened. Billy lamely stammers: "You were so excited to be a father. I didn't want to ruin that for you." Inexplicably, Cane turns his wrath on Lily! "You knew and didn't tell me?" Lily, shocked, stammers: "I just found out! How could I? I couldn't!"
