Young and Restless character history
Since 1982, Gina went from being a con artist to a well-respected pillar of the Genoa City community, with the help of her brother, Danny Romalotti. After spending five years in prison for her crimes, Gina opened Gina's, an upmarket restaurant which became Genoa City's most popular eating establishment.
However, tragedy struck in 2003 when deranged Kevin Fisher set the restaurant on fire, after locking Colleen Carlton inside. Colleen was rescued in time, but Gina's livelihood was gone. Gina soon got back on her feet and took a position as manager at the elegant restaurant at the Genoa City Athletic Club.

Recall that many moons ago Patty played a leading character on DOOL. Rather teary role if memory serves correct. Then, to my surprise, she actually appeared on two soaps at the same time! DOOL was definitely one, and probable Y&R the other. You know, until reading this blog I completely forgot her name was Romalotti.

I remember years ago when Gina had her restaurant & Jack was of course played by some one else & he lived in a room over the restaurant. He was on the outs with his Dad & he and Gina started a romance but it didn't seem to be real serious. They stayed friends all thru the years. I can't remember the actors name but he played it for years and was great. I think the current Jack replaced him & is just right. I love the role of Gina. She's a friend to almost everyone. They have not written her in for much in the story line. I wouldn't mind seeing her a little more. Maybe even a boyfriend.
