Birthplace: Greenville S.C. Where she grew up: Where she lives now: Nickname: Year she joined Y&R: January 2005
Family/relationships: The daughter of a United States Air Force general, Chapman has had a long career in both movies and television, as well as her most recent stage work both as an actress and director of many well-received theatrical productions. Her most recent feature film role was that of the mother of Judy (Parker Posey) in the 2002 romantic comedy, The Sweetest Thing.
Memorable quotes (on/off the set):
When she's not acting: Chapman is also an avid yoga buff and instructor, theatrical director, stage actress and restaurateur. She is part-owner of "St. James at The Vineyard," an upscale and eclectic restaurant specializing in "New World Cuisine" in Palm Springs, California.
Fascinating facts: A number of prominent actresses, such as Ilene Kristen and Donna Mills read for the role of Gloria, but after a single reading with actor Christian LeBlanc (who plays Gloria's son Michael), producers hired Chapman on the spot. She is a soap opera veteran, having played: * Natalie Bannon Hughes on As the World Turns (1975-1978) * Charlotte Greer on Ryan's Hope (1983) * Ginny Blake Webber on General Hospital (1984-1986) * Sandra Montaigne on One Life to Live (1987) * Anjelica Deveraux Curtis on Days of our Lives (1989-1990, 1991) * Gloria Fisher Abbott on The Young and the Restless (2005-present) * Jill Foster Abbott on The Young and the Restless (a few days, when Jess Walton was sick. Late 1980s.)

I don't know who does the hairstyles, but surely the "stylist" must HATE the women of the cast. All their hair looks terrible. Gloria used to look really good, but now the flat, straight hair is HORRIBLE and Nickki NEVER has a great hairstyle, nor does Sharon - or most of the female cast. REPLACE THE HAIRSTYLISTS with people who know how to make these women look good 'cause they sure don't now!

ok....that last scene of gloria on dec 6........good acting a bit over the top.....
but than when you get back at the one person you hate....why not over dramatize the situation lololol this is for the writers....on the character gloria.......you have got to make her accountable for her actions... if you have everybody else being accountable...why not gloria....ex..phyllis...victor squealed by his own son... but gloria had someone accidentally killed....this has got to be accountable.....i know everyone well most everyone hates gloria..and this is what you want.....but show the accountability....it doesn't make good writing when you let a character do so much damage and not be accountable for it.... |
