Nikki tells Victor that she hopes Phyllis can clear herself. Victor says it’s crazy to think Phyllis did anything to Summer. Nikki asks about the specialist and Victor says he’s sailing and they have been unable to reach him but they will.
Michael arrives and Victor tells him it’s ridiculous that him and Nikki aren’t allowed in Summer’s room. Who made this complaint demands Victor. Michaels says they don’t have to release that information. He says their hands our tied until the investigation is complete and most turn out to be true. Certainly Michael doesn’t believe Phyllis is guilty. Maybe he thinks they always find guilt. Michael says the state has temporary custody of Summer and the Judge will appoint a Guardian and then if Summer gets well enough she will go to a foster home until this is resolved. Victor says him and Nikki will be the guardians and Michael better find a way and he’s firm about it. Victor says he doesn’t want anyone else taking care of this child. Michael says he doesn’t know how far the Judge will go and Victor blows up and tells Michael to find a Judge that will do it.
Kevin and Jana are at Crimson Lights when Agent Aucker comes in with a warrant to search Crimson lights and his vehicles. Kevin asks him what he’s doing there and if there is DOJ Convention? Kevin tells him to go ahead he’s not going to find anything. Aucker tells him that’s what he said about the $100,000. Amber comes in about that time and one of the officers tries to stop her and she says I supposed you’re going to tell me I can’t be here. I know my rights says Amber. Then she goes up to Aucker and says what the hell is your problem? I came home and found another search warrant posted on my door and my house trashed. Kevin tells her they are collecting stuff to put on Ebay. I think they are raising money for the DOJ ball. Aucker tells Kevin to joke all her wants but somebody stole Balfore’s cell phone out of the evidence box at the court house yesterday after court.
Lily and Cane arrive at the BBQ. Katherine says I hope you forgive me for ever doubting you were really my Grandson. Cane says can you forgive me for doubting you were alive? But he does mention that Crocodile Dundee is still his brother.
Paul tells Nina that the blood sample that Cane gave was a match to Phillip but it was a frozen sample. He tells her that he’s had the lab check it several times. Nina is just shocked and says what?

You have to talk to the Judge and tell him I will pay for the police or social workers, whatever they require, in order for us to be with Summer. Like supervised visitation around the clock so that Victor and Nikki can get back into the room. Michael says he’ll find a Judge. What if the worst happens cries Nikki. Was it frozen for 20 years? Paul says they need to find that out. At least it would prove that Cane was a fraud and maybe a body snatcher says Nina. Paul tells Nina he thinks it’s a mistake to go off half-cocked. Nina says she won’t be quiet when Cane can answer every question that I have. Paul says we need more proof. And give them time to tip him off says Nina? No, I’m not going to let that creep spend one more minute enjoying Phillip’s life.

An additional test of Cane’s blood shows that the sample was frozen. You lying bitch says Jill. No, says Nina if you don’t believe me ask Paul. She’s telling the truth says Paul. I had the sample tested and re-tested. You didn’t think the test would show that did you says Nina to Cane? Cane might have ice for veins says Nina but frozen blood I don’t think so. Oh my Gosh says Nina. I know when you switched the samples. Remember when he knocked the vials over. Jill says Nina has missed her calling she should be writing science fiction. Nina screams at Cane do you know where my husband’s body is? Cane finally says he doesn’t know what she is talking about. How else could you get his blood asks Nina? Cane says he doesn’t know. Nina says to Cane, you tell me where is Phillip.
Kevin tells Daniel not to do this dude. That guy will twist his worlds and you could end up saying things you don’t mean. Amber says Kevin is right it’s a trick. Jana says this man is not your friend. If taking the polygraph will clear this mess up then I’ll do it says Daniel. Fine says Kevin but have Michael go with you. Daniel says why, I don’t have anything to hide. Yeah, I’ll take your polygraph says Daniel. Aucker just smiles like got ya.
Victor is talking to Ashley and he tells her that Summer is still in a coma. She offers to come down and Victor says no she might get sick and the baby. Nikki wonders what they will do if the court tells them no. Victor says they will find another court. Nikki follows the doctor into the room and the guard tells her that is against the rules. Please just a minute says Nikki. The guard tells Nikki he has twin girls. She cons him into letting her go in for just a minute to make sure Summer is OK. I beg you says Nikki have a heart please. He tells her just a few seconds. She asks the doctor is there has been any change. And he says he’s soory but no. She’s so very still Nikki tells Victor it’s as if she’s please don’t says Victor. Please don’t and he holds her as she cries and Michael shows up. He says the Judge granted them temporary custody. They are so happy and Nikki says they should tell Phyllis and Nicholas. Michael says he’ll do it. Nikki says Thank God. Victor dreams a little now too. He tells Nikki when Summer gets well they will take her to the ranch and he’ll buy her a pony and teach her ride. He says Victoria wasn’t much older than her remember? I know, I know says Nikki but if Phyllis isn’t cleared by the time that Summer is ready to come home then I think she should come home with me. Victor looked like she smacked him. Like what?
Billy has a hotel card key and goes into a room and right behind him is Mac. Billy wants to know if the food was delivered to the homeless shelter and Mac says every bit of it and Billy tells her he’s checking on Ashley and he did he popped in and said Hi Ashley and bye Ashley. Looks like a rendezvous is about to happen.
Aucker tells Daniel lets go. Amber says she’s going with him and Aucker tells her that Daniel is a big boy and Daniel goes alone. Kevin says Aucker is up to something. Jana says she would have felt better if he’d a called Michael. Kevin says it’s too late and he’s already agreed to take the test. We just have to trust he knows what he is doing. Amber says Daniel I trust, Aucker, not so much.
Lily demands that Cane tell everyone that this isn’t true. Nina says he can’t Lily. Lily tells Nina to shut up. There has to be an explanation. Nina says the explanation is that he’s a fake. Jill says she doesn’t know what the 2 of them think they found. Paul says it’s science Jill it’s not personal. It’s crap says Jill and I can’t believe you’d fall for it. Nina tells Paul thanks and she’ll take it from here. He offers to stay but she says she is OK. He tells her to call him if she needs him. Jill asks Nina why she hates her so much. Nina says she doesn’t hate her. You’re a victim like I am and Lily is. Lily screams stop it. I know my husband would not do this. Jill says of course he wouldn’t and she asks Nina who she paid to do this. Murphy says pipe down all of you. My wife just got out of the hospital. Katherine says it’s obvious that something is wrong but screaming at one another is not going to help. Katherine tells Cane if he has something to say he needs to speak up…NOW….
Victor tells Nikki he thinks she’s talking with her heart not her head. He says the ranch is a big house, with a full staff, familiar faces like Ashley, Abby, Noah. Nikki says Ashley is pregnant and a small child adds more pressure then there’s Adam. What about Adam says Victor? Well is a convict under house arrest a good influence asks Nikki? Point well taken says Victor. Nikki says it’s most important that Summer have maternal love and she could give her that. Victor asks her if she’d have to discuss this with Paul? Paul will be fine with it says Nikki. Victor says Ok well we will both go to the Judge tomorrow and confirm we have temporary custody of Summer. Why don’t you go and visit Summer.
Billy tells Mac this is kind of exciting. Mac say you mean meeting secretly? Chloe is going to freak says Billy. Mac says Katherine will be happy and others will be shocked too. Well we probably should enjoy this before it all hit’s the fan.
Cane finally says he’s sorry. He’s so sorry. Cane No says Lily and Neil steps up to comfort Lily. Katherine asks Cane what he has to tell us? Jill says don’t say it no, it isn’t true. Cane says it’s true. It’s true. I’m not your son I’m not Phillip Chancellor. I’m sorry, I’m sorry.
Billy tells Mac he knows this is considered foreplay and it’s nice (they were kissing) but it’s been 6 years and he’d just like to get with it. Mac tells Billy she tried hard to forget him and Billy says he never tried to forget her. We wasted so much times when we thought we were cousins I’m like a kid with sweaty palms. They hope nobody knocks on the door.
Daniel comes back in and tells the other three he nailed the test. Aucker says the evidence will lead back to the 4 of them. So what now says Amber? Kevin says don’t anybody leave town we know the drill. Daniel, Jana and Amber are jumping for joy and talking about that phone being the only lead to the third guy who is the real killer and Kevin asks if anyone wants some cake. Amber says we just got worked over by the Feds and you want to eat cake. Kevin says this is a very, very, very special cake. Kevin cuts the cake and pulls a piece off and then he digs inside the cake and pulls out the cell phone all wrapped up. Daniel says you sly dog. Amber says Wow how? Kevin interrupts her and says he might have taken a little detour on his way to bail Jana out. Daniel wants to know what happened to I’m not doing it it’s too risky. Kevin says are you kidding me, I’d do anything for you guys. Daniel says thanks brother. I don’t know rather to kick your bum or kiss you says Jana. Kevin says he’ll take both. Daniel tells the lovebirds that until they find out who the third guy in that alley was they are still a long ways from being in the clear.
Nikki, Michael and Victor are now in Summer’s room. Nikki tells her she doesn’t have to be scared. Michael says hey kiddo and tells her Fen’s been asking about her. He says he’s got to go now but he’ll be back. Victor tells Nikki that he thinks she’s right after Michael has gone. Right about what says Nikki. Summer should stay with you and Paul when she gets out. Really says Nikki? Yes says Victor a little girl needs a Mother and you are the next best thing. Nikki promises Victor that she will take good care of Summer. Victor says he knows she will and he hugs her. Wow this is something.
Jill tells Cane he’s lying. I wish I was says Cane. Katherine says you are not Jill’s son? Cane shakes his head no. Jill says this can’t be happening. Lily says if you aren’t Phillip who are you? He’s a lying bastard says Nina who couldn’t care less about who he hurts. Cane tells them that’s not true and they don’t understand. Nina says she understands perfectly and she’s calling the cops. Cane says please listen to me, I need you to listen to me, OK? I didn’t do this out of malice. Oh bull says Nina you are con artist after the Chancellor fortune. Cane says this has nothing at all to do with money and he never meant to hurt any of them. Give me a break says Nina. This is true says Cane, what I said to you earlier I meant. I did this to heal. I love you when I say that you became family to me. I’d never do anything to hurt you. I’d never hurt you. Lily says you love us? I don’t even know who you are she screams. Sweetheart listens says Cane. I am the same person I have always been. I promise. Cane you lied to me for years says Lily. You Son of a bitch says Neil. You are going to pay for this Cane he adds you are going to pay. Jill says how could you do this, look at me she shouts, look at me. How could you pretend to be Phillip and let me believe you are my son? Cane says I’m sorry. I’m sorry. Speak up young man says Katherine. How could you do this to all the people who showed you nothing but kindness your entire life? A voice says “He didn’t do it. I did”. The camera follows the I did and there stands Phillip. Nina gasps and puts her hand over her mouth. Jill is totally shocked and for once in her life is speechless as she sees Phillip standing there.
NEXT ON THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS:
Chloe calls Billy at his hotel room and says “It’s all a lie”. Billy annoyed says “What’s a lie”.
With Lily behind him Neil protectively says to Cane, “You stay away from my daughter, you hear me?” Cane turns around and Billy sucker punches him. You hear screaming and gasps at this moment.
Phillip tells Jill and Katherine who is in a hospital bed again, “the first thing you need to know, the accident I died in…It wasn’t an accident”.
