Phyllis, Nick and Michael meet with Heather to figure out why Phyllis has been accused of hurting Summer. Phyllis denies that she has hurt Summer in anyway for any reason. Heather doesn't give up. She asks all kinds of questions of her and Nick about their split up and him living with Sharon now. Nick also tells her that Sharon was at the hospital to give him the results of the paternity test. Heather tells Phyllis finally that nobody believes she hurt Summer on purpose and if she would just confess they could get her some help. Phyllis hauls off and smacks her right up side the face. Which Michael tells Heather she deserved. Anyone would have done the same thing. Heather tells Michael it is sure not going to help her case any but she's not going to press charges against Phyllis for slapping her. But it's full speed ahead on the Child neglect charges or whatever the charges for what she thinks Phyllis did to Summer are.
Meanwhile, Mary Jane is satisfied that Phyllis will be too busy defending herself to go after Jack anymore. Mary Jane is still talking to her Kitty. Once Victor and Phyllis get done with her she might not be quite so smug. Heather meets with Mary Jane to re-assure her that no one will ever know that she was the one who reported the abuse. Meanwhile, Nick decides to take Phyllis to the hospital, no matter what.
Phillip explains to Cane that he came back so that Cane didn’t have to take the fall alone for everything they did. Cane isn't impressed and gets upset with Phillip. He tells him he gave him his life because he didn't want it and a big argument happens right outside Katherine's room. Phillip leaves and Cane wants to to in and see Katherine. Nobody thinks that's a swell idea but finally Katherine says to let him come in. But Katherine is very disappointed in Cane and she doesn't forgive him. In her hospital room, emotions are high as Katherine says that her faith has been rocked to the core. Cane tries to apologize but Kay is disgusted by his actions and Jill is heartbroken.
Nina follows Phillip to the Chancellor Estate and looks to him for answers that he isn’t ready to give her. She talks about their son and asks him what about your Mom. But Phillip doesn't give in yet he just tells her there are lots of things that made him just leave.
Katherine informs Jill that she's not sure she wants this second chance with Phillip because this plan he conjured up with Cane almost killed her and she doesn’t think she can get past it. Jill tries to tell her that she doesn't mean that but Katherine says she does.
Neil gives Lily a sleeping pill and puts her to bed and goes to be himself. Lily spits out the pill and decides to go and visit Cane. She is not happy with Cane and tells him he gave her up for the lies he was telling. Neil shows up at Cane’s just as Cane is rying to make Lily understand why he did what he did. Neil shoves Cane away and tells him he better not come near his daughter again. Later, Lily gives Cane back her wedding ring as Neil is shouting out her let's go. Lily now. But she takes the ring off and gives it back to Cane.
Nina and Phillip talk at the Chancellor mansion and Nina keeps pushing and pushing him about why he left and why he couldn't just tell them how he felt and she goes on and on and finally Phillip says he has something to tell her. Phillip admits to Nina that he is gay.
