Nina finally catches up with Cane to talk to him about the screenplay. Cane clams up when Nina questions him about the Amber part of his life. Cane tells her in some cases it’s best to let the past be the past and he’s not wanting to talk about Amber and neither is Amber. I am not sure what is up with that, but I sure hope that Amber didn’t help him rig a DNA test for sure. Finally Cane tells her he’s a small part of Katherine’s life so why is he so important and when it comes to Amber some parts of his life are best left alone. Nina tells Cane the story is about the drama and it could end up being about him. She wants to know mainly about this Violet Montgomery. She tells Cane she could find very little on her it’s almost like she didn’t exist. Cane becomes more and more uncomfortable with Nina’s questioning. She verifies with Cane that she was a flight attendant and she died of pneumonia. Cane says he thinks the past should be left the past and he thinks this screenplay has more to do with her than it does him. It’s about Phillip the man she married. Nina says well yes it does I mean who was he. She’s curious and she’s doing it for Phillip’s son as well. She tells Cane she was in love with Phillip. She says a lot about his life didn’t make sense to her and maybe it didn’t make sense to him either. I mean there’s a whole family out there that might explain it says Nina. Wasn’t it like that for you when you found your family asks Nina? Not as much as you might think says Cane. Nina goes back to dwelling on Violet Montgomery and how she can’t find much on her living or dead. It’s Bizarre really she adds. Cane says you know we have discussed this to death to the point we are going around in circles and I really need to go. Later Paul runs into Nina. He’s on the phone thanking the person for the faxed information on Mary Jane and said he’d be delighted to have more if anything else turns up. Paul and Nina discuss the screenplay and Violet Montgomery that Nina seems to know Paul investigated her once. He tells Nina there really wasn’t trail she took the kid and moved to Arizona and two weeks later she was dead. Cane lived in Cambria with her brother and his name was Langley says Paul. I found him. Then you brought him back says Nina? No says Paul he was already here working as a bartender at Indigo. OK, alright says Nina that is something to go on. Paul says if you want I can pull the file for you I am sure there are little things I might have forgotten. Nina says Great. Once Nina left Cane gets on the phone to Langley. He tells him he’s tried to put Nina off but she’s determined to get to the bottom of this. She’s becoming more suspicious. Relax says Langley. How can I relax says Cane. I have a wife and family here now a woman I’m crazy in love with and if I lose that…No man you won’t interrupts Langley. Nina’s going to do some sniffing around and she’ll come to a dead end and she’s going to give up. I don’t think so says Cane. Your wife has not forgotten about you Phillip. Yes Mac finally says but neither of them are available. Billy tells her if you can’t lie to me how you going to lie to Raul. Why show me this now asks Billy after Mac explained she had it packed and ready to take on their honeymoon which never happened of course. What kind of signals do you think that sends to me says Billy. What are you doing? Chloe goes to Katherine who advises her about Billy. He’s your biggest mistake Katherine advises Chloe. Chloe tells her that Billy says he wants to be with her and Katherine says what do you expect him to say he wants to see his daughter and he’s going to say what he thinks you want to hear in order to do that. Chloe says but eventually you did get control. Eventually says Katherine but it took decades and it’s a long wait and it might never happen. Sweetheart says Katherine listen please, you will still believe you have control over this if you have faith or if you ease up on him or clamp down on him, or you cry enough or punish him enough or just love him enough. But none of it makes a damn bit of difference. Meantime Mac is telling Billy not to read too much into anything it’s just a bunch of cheesy high school memories. No because I know you better than anyone else says Billy. You did once says Mac. I still do says Billy. I’m not in High School anymore Ok says Mac. We were lost in each other back then but now you are a married man with a baby and I’m in love with another man says Mac. So it’s complicated says Billy. It’s impossible says Mac. Don’t says that says Billy. We are just having residual feelings and it’s sweet and nostalgic but neither one of us is available says Mac. Well, that’s where you are wrong says Billy. Meantime Katherine tells Chloe to remember the serenity prayer and concentrate on her self-esteem. She tells her that’s her greatest challenge. Self-respect. Chloe mentions Billy cheating on her with her sister-in-law/maid of honor and it’s tough to forget that. Katherine tells her self-respect is the best place to start for her. Chloe tells Katherine she told Billy she was done but then she wanted to run right over there and tell him she didn’t mean it. Is that what you are going to do asks Katherine? No says Chloe. Katherine tells Chloe she’s going to act as her sponsor and if she falls off the Billy wagon she should call her. For Delia’s sake asks Chloe? No for yourself and your sake says Katherine. You can’t hide your feelings from me says Billy you think you can hide them from Raul? Show the guy some respect says Billy. By breaking up with him says Mac? Look you can’t forget what we had and you never will and we can have it again. Just think about it says Billy. I know you’ll do the right thing he adds. Chloe is crushed for sure. She says this would be a good time to give Katherine a call. To calm me down she adds. Maybe not she decides.
Katherine walks in the back patio door and says hello Mac. Are you alright. Mac says she wishes she was someone else completely. Impetuous and Impulsive she adds. Completely selfish. People like that aren’t every happy for long says Katherine. Sometimes I think it’s worth it says Mac. Katherine tells Mac that she knows she’s still in love with Billy. I can’t help it says Mac. JT is has Mary Jane inside now and he’s calling Phyllis to verify her story that she was there meeting with Phyllis earlier but Phyllis is not answering her phones. Mary Jane keeps pleading her case to JT saying she saw the ranch in the Architectural Digest and she couldn’t resist. Finally she says JT can walk her over to Phyllis’ house and she will vouch for her. JT is distracted by Victoria and this wearing a wire business for finally he lets her go. But tells her she was intruding on private property and Mary Jane says next time she will make arrangements with Phyllis for a tour. JT calls Victoria and says hey it’s me I got delayed. Don’t make a move without me.
Paul runs into Mary Jane and tries to have a conversation. Mary Jane tells Paul he needs to get a hobby. Paul says good he’ll forward his inquiries to the IRS. He tells her he’s done a little digging into her background. Is that legal she asks Paul? Same question I had when I seen what you had been up to says Paul. Talk about coming into being says Paul. Your last few months on paper you had your social security number issued, credit card issued and you opened a bank account with a big fat cash deposit says Paul. So says Mary Jane? I’d be curious about that windfall says Paul. So my cat died and left me a fortune says Mary Jane. What business is that of yours she adds. Well you show up in Genoa City with no past without any personal connections or none you are willing to admit to and these financial assets appear out of nowhere Paul adds. Who is behind all of this he asks. I really don’t know what you mean says Mary Jane. Come on says Paul someone paid a lot to make you, they went to a lot of trouble to give you a clean slate, new identity, phony credentials, job at Jabot Paul goes on. You know what says Mary Jane, you were odd at first, then un-nerving and now you are just plain crazy. You snoop into my personal affairs she says and that’s the definition of a stalker. Later after Paul talked to Nina about the screenplay he sees Detective Wallace come in and he says hello. Wonders what brings Genoa City’s finest out tonight and Detective Wallace says he is there to talk to him about Mary Jane Benson. She’s filed a stalking and harassment charges against Paul. Detective Wallace (Gil) says he’s serious and he needs to bring Paul in for questioning. Mary Jane meantime is lying on her bed telling her kitty that she didn’t need this business with Paul tonight. She doesn’t need the aggravation. Now she has Sharon and Jack to deal with and Victor abandoned them. She tells Kitty she got really upset today and she’s afraid to tell him Kitty what she did. I smashed an innocent bird she tells Kitty. I know I said I’d never do it again after what I did to you. My Sweet Kitty forgives me don’t you she says. Yes you do, Yes You do she says again. I hate to tell you this Mary Jane but your Kitty is dead he’s either a stuffed animal or a stuffed cat from the taxidermist but this kitty don’t move, don’t purr don’t do anything. You must have killed him at some point and had him stuffed because he’s not alive for sure.
Victoria is at Jimmy’s and she goes over and orders another soda. Agent Aucker says she shouldn’t leave a briefcase with $100,000 in it unattended. She wants to know if he wanted her to bring it with her. Agent Aucker thinks something is going on since Mr. Balfore hasn’t shown up yet. He thinks Victoria might have been contacted already. She tells him she’s wearing a wire so he should know. He mentions a text. He wants her to call him but she says no she’s waiting on JT to get there. Aucker says as long as he stays out of the way. He won’t let his agents for this mission be compromised. Jana walks in about that time with Amber and Kevin hot on her heels. What are you up to asks Kevin. Are you meeting Daniel Amber asks? Did you follow me asks Jana? Kevin says he over heard her leaving Daniel a message. Aucker walks by and tells Jana this better be a coincidence. Amber says who’s that guy? Kevin says what the hell is going on? Meantime in the alley Daniel calls out for Aucker or Belfore whatever his name is. I know you are out here says Daniel. Well, Well says Beflore, I see your friend Jana didn’t keep her mouth shut like I told her to do. She wasn’t going to let you pass of this forgery either says Daniel and I want my painting back. Belfore says the current bid is 100 K. Daniels says he’s not going to sell it and to give it back or he’s going to take it. Belfore pulls a gun on him. Jana tells Amber and Kevin that Daniel came early to try and get the painting back he’s in the alley. I tried to stop him she says but he wouldn’t listen. Amber tells her to tell her what’s going on and what they are involved in. Kevin wants to know what Daniel has to do with any of this. Jana points to Agent Aucker and tells Kevin and Amber that he’s the real agent Aucker with the Department of Justice. Amber goes over and tells Aucker she knows who he is and Daniel Romalatti is out here and he needs protection. Aucker tells her if she was stupid enough to come here then he’s not my responsibility. He’s doing your job says Amber. Aucker says he’s trying to cover his ass the two of you are interfering with a federal investigation. If something happens to him says Amber, I’ll pick him up says Aucker. You mean you’ll arrest him says Amber. Happy now Asks Aucker? Belfore tells Daniel to get out of there. Daniel says he don’t think so. You got a death wish asks Belfore? Your not going to shoot me says Daniel. Not only am I going to shoot you I am going to enjoy it says Belfore. I don’t see you making a deal over a dead body says Daniel. Aucker’s phone rings. Mr. Belfore it’s Victoria Newman. I had a slight delay he tells Victoria but I’m here now. Your funeral says Belfore. Meantime Agent Aucker questions if Daniel and is Belfore’s partner. Victoria says he’s not. He must have been knifed I didn’t hear a gun shot. JT arrives about this time and wants to know where Victoria is. Agent Aucker says she’s in the alley. Alone asks JT? JT takes off and Amber tells him that Daniel is out there too. When Belfore rolls over he tries to get his gun but Daniel pushes it away. Who did this to you Belfore Daniel asks. You did says Belfore. Victoria is calling Mr. Belfore’s name finally as she gets closer Daniel runs away. He’s running, he’s taking off, someone thinks Belfore is on the move but it’s Daniel. JT calls to Victoria and she answers and tells him that she is over here. I’m fine. Everything is OK. What says Aucker, damn it. Victoria JT calls her name again I’m over here she says and about this time she find Belfore. Oh my God she says and screams loudly. There is a shift in the big crates and they start to fall and JT screams Victoria’s name to warn her but it’s too late. The crates fall in on Victoria. JT gets to her. Victoria, Victoria, Victoria can you hear me he says when he finally digs her out. Can you hear me he repeats. Help Help he screams. Somebody help. Aucker comes back inside and is on the radio and says it all went to hell and they need an ambulance. Amber says for Daniel? Don’t go out there says Aucker. What about Victoria says Jana you said she’s be safe. What happened says Kevin. Aucker repeats to them all , stay here. A lady cop brings Aucker a plastic bad with what looks like a gun they found hear the dumpster she says. What about the money Aucker asks. Nobody seems to know about the money. Aucker tells JT he’s so sorry. JT tells him if his wife dies he’s coming after him. Later Jana, Amber and Kevin are walking up to Amber’s house and Jana tells her she is sure they will hear from Daniel soon. Unless he’s already dead says Amber. They aren’t just art thieves they are murderers and he went after them whines Amber. We don’t know that says Kevin he might have changed his mind. Here let me take your keys says Kevin and he opens the door. There is Daniel. Amber runs to him and says Oh Daniel thank God. Jana says I had to tell them thank God you are alright. Kevin says you gave us a scare. Daniel tells them it’s not over yet. He’s in serious, serious trouble. And he shuts and locks the door before he says another word.

JT is has Mary Jane inside now and he’s calling Phyllis to verify her story that she was there meeting with Phyllis earlier but Phyllis is not answering her phones. Mary Jane keeps pleading her case to JT saying she saw the ranch in the Architectural Digest and she couldn’t resist. Finally she says JT can walk her over to Phyllis’ house and she will vouch for her. JT is distracted by Victoria and this wearing a wire business for finally he lets her go. But tells her she was intruding on private property and Mary Jane says next time she will make arrangements with Phyllis for a tour. JT calls Victoria and says hey it’s me I got delayed. Don’t make a move without me.
Paul runs into Mary Jane and tries to have a conversation. Mary Jane tells Paul he needs to get a hobby. Paul says good he’ll forward his inquiries to the IRS. He tells her he’s done a little digging into her background. Is that legal she asks Paul? Same question I had when I seen what you had been up to says Paul. Talk about coming into being says Paul. Your last few months on paper you had your social security number issued, credit card issued and you opened a bank account with a big fat cash deposit says Paul. So says Mary Jane? I’d be curious about that windfall says Paul. So my cat died and left me a fortune says Mary Jane. What business is that of yours she adds. Well you show up in Genoa City with no past without any personal connections or none you are willing to admit to and these financial assets appear out of nowhere Paul adds. Who is behind all of this he asks. I really don’t know what you mean says Mary Jane. Come on says Paul someone paid a lot to make you, they went to a lot of trouble to give you a clean slate, new identity, phony credentials, job at Jabot Paul goes on. You know what says Mary Jane, you were odd at first, then un-nerving and now you are just plain crazy. You snoop into my personal affairs she says and that’s the definition of a stalker. Later after Paul talked to Nina about the screenplay he sees Detective Wallace come in and he says hello. Wonders what brings Genoa City’s finest out tonight and Detective Wallace says he is there to talk to him about Mary Jane Benson. She’s filed a stalking and harassment charges against Paul. Detective Wallace (Gil) says he’s serious and he needs to bring Paul in for questioning. Mary Jane meantime is lying on her bed telling her kitty that she didn’t need this business with Paul tonight. She doesn’t need the aggravation. Now she has Sharon and Jack to deal with and Victor abandoned them. She tells Kitty she got really upset today and she’s afraid to tell him Kitty what she did. I smashed an innocent bird she tells Kitty. I know I said I’d never do it again after what I did to you. My Sweet Kitty forgives me don’t you she says. Yes you do, Yes You do she says again. I hate to tell you this Mary Jane but your Kitty is dead he’s either a stuffed animal or a stuffed cat from the taxidermist but this kitty don’t move, don’t purr don’t do anything. You must have killed him at some point and had him stuffed because he’s not alive for sure.
Victoria is at Jimmy’s and she goes over and orders another soda. Agent Aucker says she shouldn’t leave a briefcase with $100,000 in it unattended. She wants to know if he wanted her to bring it with her. Agent Aucker thinks something is going on since Mr. Balfore hasn’t shown up yet. He thinks Victoria might have been contacted already. She tells him she’s wearing a wire so he should know. He mentions a text. He wants her to call him but she says no she’s waiting on JT to get there. Aucker says as long as he stays out of the way. He won’t let his agents for this mission be compromised. Jana walks in about that time with Amber and Kevin hot on her heels. What are you up to asks Kevin. Are you meeting Daniel Amber asks? Did you follow me asks Jana? Kevin says he over heard her leaving Daniel a message. Aucker walks by and tells Jana this better be a coincidence. Amber says who’s that guy? Kevin says what the hell is going on? Meantime in the alley Daniel calls out for Aucker or Belfore whatever his name is. I know you are out here says Daniel. Well, Well says Beflore, I see your friend Jana didn’t keep her mouth shut like I told her to do. She wasn’t going to let you pass of this forgery either says Daniel and I want my painting back. Belfore says the current bid is 100 K. Daniels says he’s not going to sell it and to give it back or he’s going to take it. Belfore pulls a gun on him. Jana tells Amber and Kevin that Daniel came early to try and get the painting back he’s in the alley. I tried to stop him she says but he wouldn’t listen. Amber tells her to tell her what’s going on and what they are involved in. Kevin wants to know what Daniel has to do with any of this. Jana points to Agent Aucker and tells Kevin and Amber that he’s the real agent Aucker with the Department of Justice. Amber goes over and tells Aucker she knows who he is and Daniel Romalatti is out here and he needs protection. Aucker tells her if she was stupid enough to come here then he’s not my responsibility. He’s doing your job says Amber. Aucker says he’s trying to cover his ass the two of you are interfering with a federal investigation. If something happens to him says Amber, I’ll pick him up says Aucker. You mean you’ll arrest him says Amber. Happy now Asks Aucker? Belfore tells Daniel to get out of there. Daniel says he don’t think so. You got a death wish asks Belfore? Your not going to shoot me says Daniel. Not only am I going to shoot you I am going to enjoy it says Belfore. I don’t see you making a deal over a dead body says Daniel. Aucker’s phone rings. Mr. Belfore it’s Victoria Newman. I had a slight delay he tells Victoria but I’m here now. Where are you says Victoria? I’m in the alley you got the cash asks Belfore? Yes says Victoria. Good says Belfore. Time to go he says to Daniel. I’m not leaving says Daniel. Your funeral says Belfore. Meantime Agent Aucker questions if Daniel and is Belfore’s partner. Victoria says he’s not. Then he’s going to scare him off or get himself killed either way, we have to do this and we have to do it now. Victoria says alright. She’s going even though JT isn’t here yet. Beffore hears something and asks who’s there. Mrs. Newman he says? Your friend is very stupid says Belfore. Daniel says he don’t know who that is. But a guy or person in a ski-mask appears and Belfore is on the ground. The guy runs off onto the crates up above. Daniel calls Aucker’s name then Belfore and he rolls over and blood is on his shirt. He must have been knifed I didn’t hear a gun shot. JT arrives about this time and wants to know where Victoria is. Agent Aucker says she’s in the alley. Alone asks JT? JT takes off and Amber tells him that Daniel is out there too. When Belfore rolls over he tries to get his gun but Daniel pushes it away. Who did this to you Belfore Daniel asks. You did says Belfore. Victoria is calling Mr. Belfore’s name finally as she gets closer Daniel runs away. He’s running, he’s taking off, someone thinks Belfore is on the move but it’s Daniel. JT calls to Victoria and she answers and tells him that she is over here. I’m fine. Everything is OK. What says Aucker, damn it. Victoria JT calls her name again I’m over here she says and about this time she find Belfore. Oh my God she says and screams loudly. There is a shift in the big crates and they start to fall and JT screams Victoria’s name to warn her but it’s too late. The crates fall in on Victoria. JT gets to her. Victoria, Victoria, Victoria can you hear me he says when he finally digs her out. Can you hear me he repeats. Help Help he screams. Somebody help. Aucker comes back inside and is on the radio and says it all went to hell and they need an ambulance. Amber says for Daniel? Don’t go out there says Aucker. What about Victoria says Jana you said she’s be safe. What happened says Kevin. Aucker repeats to them all , stay here. A lady cop brings Aucker a plastic bad with what looks like a gun they found hear the dumpster she says. What about the money Aucker asks. Nobody seems to know about the money. Aucker tells JT he’s so sorry. JT tells him if his wife dies he’s coming after him. Later Jana, Amber and Kevin are walking up to Amber’s house and Jana tells her she is sure they will hear from Daniel soon. Unless he’s already dead says Amber. They aren’t just art thieves they are murderers and he went after them whines Amber. We don’t know that says Kevin he might have changed his mind. Here let me take your keys says Kevin and he opens the door. There is Daniel. Amber runs to him and says Oh Daniel thank God. Jana says I had to tell them thank God you are alright. Kevin says you gave us a scare. Daniel tells them it’s not over yet. He’s in serious, serious trouble. And he shuts and locks the door before he says another word.
