JT is at the hospital waiting for word on Victoria. He’s kicking his own butt for letting her do this in the first place. Nikki shows up and asks what happened. JT explains about the crates falling on her and Nikki wants to know where. JT tells her in the alley behind Jimmy’s Tavern. Of course Nikki wants to know why she was in the alley at that time of night.
Amber, Daniel, Kevin and Jana talk about what happened in the alley. Daniel tells them he went there and met Belfore in the alley and ask for the painting and some guy in a ski mask came up and shot him after they struggled. He’s dead says Daniel. It was weird says Daniel, I ask him who did this to him and he said it was me. They discuss getting out of town until the dust settles and as Daniel opens the door there stands Agent Aucker. Going some where he asks Daniel?
Paul and Heather discuss his little field trip to the PD over stalking Mary Jane Benson. Paul says it wasn’t so bad since his daughter is the assistant DA. She wants to know what his sudden interest is in this woman and Paul says he knows her from somewhere and he can’t shake the feeling. Heather advises him to back off. Paul says she over reacted and now he knows that she’s hiding something and he can’t let it go. Heather says she’s the same way she must get it from him.
Victor thanks Adam for looking after Ashley. Adam has a flashback of everything that happened while Victor was gone, Ashley falling down the stairs, the Dr. Freud talk he had with her, him cleaning up after she fell down the stairs and lost the baby. Ashley walks in and Victor wants to know what’s wrong and she says she’s OK. She is still thinking about the nightmare she had while he was away. Adam tells her she might have cabin fever and she says she feels fine.
JT tells Nikki he should have stopped Victoria and Nikki says she’s just like her Father he couldn’t stop her. The doctor comes out and says Victoria is awake and talking to the medical staff but since she’s had a head injury before they are being cautious and are going to do a CT Scan. Nikki tells JT she has to call Victor and she does and he asks how bad it is and Nikki tells him what she knows and he says he’ll be right there. Victor tells Adam and Ashley that Victoria’s had an accident and he’s going to the hospital.
Agent Aucker asks Daniel where he was tonight and he lies and says he was at his apartment. He says Amber saw his car near the bar and Amber says well I was wrong. Kevin says they came to the apartment and found Daniel there he hadn’t gone there like they thought. Agent Aucker informs Daniel that Victoria Newman was seriously injured tonight. I’m going to the hospital to interview her she’s the only witness to a murder. Daniel wants to know what she saw or said and Agent Aucker says I thought the first question you’d ask is who was murdered so you must have already known.
Amber, Daniel, Kevin and Jan are talking again after Agent Aucker leaves. Amber offers to give it all up to leave with Daniel right now and he says that means a lot to him. Kevin says he wishes they hadn’t kept him in the dark he’s better than uncovering evidence that Daniel. Amber says she too wishes she’d a known what was going on. Time to get out of Doge she says. Jana says or you could tell the truth. Daniel agrees and says the only thing he can do is come clean and hope they believe him.
Paul tells Heather that until about 2 months ago Mary Jane didn’t exist. That’s when her social security card, credit cards and bank accounts were opened. Paul is telling Heather that Mary Jane contradicts herself when the police walk up along with Mary Jane and he’s served with a restraining order. She gloats and says you are in violation now since I have a room here you have to leave. Heather gives her the look after Paul leaves.
Victor questions JT as to why Victoria was in a dark alley with a briefcase full of money. JT fills him in on what happened and why and Victor says why weren’t you with her. He said he was tied up when he had a prowler. A Mary Jane Benson and he finally let her go but that’s why he was late and missed being out there with Victoria. Victor assures him he’s done nothing wrong and says he’ll have a talk with this person to make sure the boundaries are clear. Victor created Mary Jane Benson and in doing so I think he’s created a monster.
Adam continues to have the flashback of Ashley’s accident. Ashley comes in and they both talk about how they hope Victoria is OK and the baby kicks and Adam is shocked when Ashley put his hand on her tummy so he can feel it. He wasn’t expecting this of course because there is no baby.
Aucker goes to see Victoria and asks her how she feels. She says like she got hit in the head with some big crates. Aucker wants to know what happened in the alley. She says she called Belfore’’s name and she heard someone running. Aucker wants to know if she saw anyone. No she didn’t. Just heard JT calling her name. What about the briefcase with the money asks Aucker. She says she dropped that when she found Before’s body. Aucker suggests whoever killed Belfore also took the money. Aucker asks her again but you didn’t see anyone? Victoria says she can’t remember. Victor comes in and says who are you and what are you doing with my daughter? Aucker introduces himself and says he’s investigating this murder. Victor tells him his daughter is injured and this is not the time or place and he want s him to leave. He tells JT to escort him out. Victor wants to know if he can get her anything. She says she’d like some water. Have you told Nicholas asks Victor. No I’ll tell him tomorrow says Victoria he’s got enough going right now. Victor says they better discuss her gallivanting around in a dark alley.
Aucker tells JT he’s sorry about Victoria. JT tells him he doesn’t know the meaning of the word sorry and he better stay away from his wife and he better not come around here again. Aucker tells him he’s doing a federal investigation.
Dr. Taylor asks Adam what was so important he had to drag him out of bed in the middle of the night. How about a woman feeling her baby kick when there’s no baby says Adam? What says Dr. Taylor? Adam says she feels the kid move and Dr. Taylor says that’s impossible she had a miscarriage. Adam says well could you be wrong. I examined her says Dr. Taylor. Unless he’s having a hysterical pregnancy. What’s that says Adam. Her mind convinces her body that she is pregnant. The body supports what her mind thinks. He says her belly could expand, stop having periods and she could even have a hysterical birth. Dr. Taylor asks Adam do you know how traumatic that will be for her if she goes all the way to birth and no baby? What do we do asks Adam. There is no we Adam says Dr. Taylor. Dr. Taylor what are you doing here asks Ashley? Oh he’s doing a follow up he tells Ashley. Everything OK she tells Dr. Taylor.
Victor and Paul discuss his trouble with Mary Jane. Unfortunately my cable went out about this time so I missed this part mostly but Paul says he about to the poin the wishes he’d never heard her name or something to that effect. Victor is getting it that Mary Jane his monster woman, is out of control or he should.
It’s determined that Victoria has a concussion. And JT tells her she better never do anything this dangerous again.
Daniel calls Aucker and he comes over and Daniel tells him the whole story. Daniel was right though. Aucker doesn’t really believe him. Everything Daniel says he twists to fit the scenario that he believes happened and he calls Beflore his accomplice and Daniel tries to tell him there was no accomplice but Aucker seems doubtful. Aucker tells him there was 100,000 in cash, the fake Terroni and 2 guys in the alley and one is dead leaving just Daniel. Maybe this truth stuff wasn’t such a hot idea after all.
The doctor tells Victoria as long as she follows precautions there is no reason for her to not sleep in her own bed tonight. So Victoria says so now will you two go home and get some rest. Talking to Victor and Nikki. Paul is there now too and ask her how’s she feeling. They all leave.
Nikki asks Victor how Ashley is doing. She tells him she saw her talking to Sabrina’s statue and Victor says maybe she finds that therapeutic. Nikki says some strange things were going on we had a storm and some black outs. She tells Victor about going by the ranch and Adam saying she was out with Jack when in fact she wasn’t she saw Jack at the club. Where was the maid ask Victor? Adam gave her the night off says Nikki. Then she mentions Dr. Taylor and Victor says who the hell is Dr. Taylor and asks Nikki if she stayed while Ashley was examined and she said of course she did. Nikki says there is just something that she doesn’t trust about Adam.
Adam threatens Dr. Taylor. He tells him if they find out what he’s done they will squash me like a bug. Adam tells him his career and his reputation will go right down the toilet. Poor Dr. Taylor he should have never let Adam get his claws into him. He’ll take the fall for the whole thing and Adam will come out on top of the world. Not sure how yet, but he will.
Nikki asks Paul if he’s OK and he says oh you mean my little restraining order thing. Now he says it makes him just want to dig deeper. Nikki advises him to be careful as she doesn’t want to be married to a convict. Paul says why they have congical visits. Nikki says she’s not kidding. Paul says he has to find out what Mary Jane Benson freaks out every time he comes around her.
Mary Jane is laying on the bed with her hate list pictures and says why can’t he leave me alone. I can’t do it, I just can’t do it she says. She says she doesn’t want to be enemies with Paul.
Aucker tells Daniel that Victoria is going to be OK and he tells him not to think about leaving town. Why would I says Daniel I told you the truth. If any of that money ends up in your possession you are going away for a long time says Aucker. After Aucker leaves they discuss telling the truth and how that was the right thing to do. Amber says famous last words. They wonder what happened to the money or Kevin does and Daniel says he doesn’t care what happened to it he is innocent and doesn’t want to know anything about the money.
What looks like a man in a black trench coat wearing gloves is getting a cup of coffee at the coffee house. He walks over around the counter and sets the briefcase he is carrying down along side the counter. Imagine that.
The doctor tells JT not to be surprised if his wife doesn’t quite act like herself. That is common with these type things. Well lady doctor, this is a soap and if you said that line I have a feeling we could see a strange side of Victoria that we haven’t seen before. Or JT will anyway.
Victor is back home explains that Victoria is fine. A mild concussion but they are letting her go home. She’s lucky says Ashley. Nikki says there was some odd things going on here while I was gone. Adam wants to know what she said and Victor says you told her that Ashley went with Jack. Ashley says well Jack did come by maybe Adam thought I left with Jack. I had the nightmare don’t’ be upset with Adam he’s been a Godsend he got the new doctor. He’s terrific she tells Victor. I want to meet this Dr. Taylor says Victor. Oh you will says Ashley and the baby kicked today she tells Victor. He’s sorry he missed that. Ashley goes off to bed and Adam says he’s going to turn in too. Victor says Hold on Nikki said you gave Bonnie the night off. I am sure you meant to be kind but honestly I don’t want you and Ashley in this house alone. Ashley is fragile and you can’t see says Victor. Victor leaves and Adam says out loud to nobody, Sorry Victor, we do things my way now. Man that’s a scary thought if I ever heard it.
NEXT ON THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS:
Mac asks Billy and Chloe what’s wrong with Sharon? Is the baby OK or what. Chloe says Billy you want to break the news or should I?
Nick tells Sharon we are going to get through this and we’ll get through it together. And this time it’s for keeps and Jack is on the other side of the door listening in.
Mary Jane tells Phyllis she can’t watch her. That’s too strange she tells Phyllis. I’d never let my daughter be with some stranger. Phyllis looks troubled. Not good.
