Chloe is on a mission today. She tells Delia she is staying with her Grandma so she can go out. She’s going to solve their problems with her Daddy. Chloe has called Raul and told him that Mac needs him. Billy is at the bar with Mac and they are working on making love. Which they don’t do because Raul is pounding on the bar door. Raul tells Mac that Chloe called and said that Mac needed him. She finally ends up telling Raul that Chloe is right she does need him. They talk about their time in Darfur and Raul tells her that she is the one who got him through the day. She says she feels the same way in Genoa City that he did in Darfur. Billy left when Raul showed up and goes home to where Chloe is waiting on him. She says she’s there to get Delia’s hat but she’s been rehearsing how to con Billie into asking her to stay. He does ask her to stay but when he attempts to kiss her he flashes back to him and Mac at the bar. Chloe realizes that Billy can’t make love to her because he’s in love with a girl from his past and she’s disgusted. She says she’s leaving and Billy ridicules her. She tells him she’s so over him and when he mocks her she rips off her wedding ring and throws it down. I wonder if she’s serious this time. Even Chloe deserves better than Billy. She does tell him she’s turned into a pseudo wife and now a Mother and their life is visitation schedules and awkward moments and they should burn the bed they made love in. She says they used to laugh. Why aren’t you at the bar she asks? Oh Raul showed up. I’m sorry, listen to me she says I’m saying sorry because your Crush’s fiance’ showed up. Billy says Chloe don’t go but she does anyway. Raul told Mach he took four planes and 2 buses and a jeep to get to Darfur. He had an office job and now he was going to live in the wild and he wasn’t sure he could do it. Then he saw this woman who could do six things at once and she turned around and it was my friend Mac. My friend was capable, generous, gentle and caring. I didn’t plan on falling in love but I did. Meantime Chloe and Billy are still at it and he tells her that she doesn’t have to go and she tells him he’s annoyed her and her space. He tells her she used to like that. He kisses her. Chloe tells Billy she’s not his consolation prize. Billy reminds her that she is his wife and it’s part of the game. You want me he tells her. You know you love me. Then as I told you he let her down.
Phyllis is at the office getting her kid shoot back in order. Mary Jane called and canceled the shoot as Cassie from Restless Style then as Cathy from Mountain View she also called and canceled so they are blaming each other but Phyllis is working hard to get it straightened out. Mary Jane is babysitting and Jack stops in. He tells Mary Jane he didn’t think she was the babysitting type. She says she’s full of surprises. Jack tells her they had fun and she says there are no strings she’s not pushing. They discuss that Phyllis is not having an easy time of it right now. Mary Jane wants to know if he’s this concerned about all his ex-loves and Jack says only if they will have me. Jack lies to Mary Jane and tells him it’s not like that with Phyllis because she saw him and he flashes back to him and Phyllis on the couch. Summer comes back in and is happy to see Uncle Jack. Mary Jane asks her if she wants to draw again so Uncle Jack will leave. Jack looks stunned like what did I do. Jack gets moving and Phyllis walks in at the same time. She thanks Mary Jane and Jack asks her if she had to pitch a Phyllis to get it straightened out to which she says she did. But it was in order. Mary Jane says she has to go. She is sure those two have things to talk about. She leaves and Phyllis asks Summer if they should tell Uncle Jack that Mary Jane is a keeper. (This woman is good she’s even fooled Phyllis). Phyllis confides to Jack that she is thinking that Nick is kissing another child goodnight or will be and it won’t be Summer. She says she’s really done a bang up job. She asks Jack how he’s going to feel if another man is kissing his child goodnight if Sharon’s baby turns out to be his baby. Phyllis also tells Jack that she thinks Mary Jane likes him. Jack says she lied to him about being married even got pretend text messages from him. He says he felt like a jerk. But he says their relationship is casual for both of them. Meantime Mary Jane is talking to Kitty the cat she killed in a fit of rage and had stuffed. She’s telling Kitty that Jack sure got out of her bed fast to go to Phyllis. She talks about drying her tears because Jack lied but they were happy and there is a knock at the door. It’s Victor and Mary Jane wants to know what he’s doing there.
Meantime Dr. Taylor is at the GCAC and gets a text from Adam that says play a nice doctor or you can kiss your career goodbye. Dr. Taylor is there to meet Victor and gain his approval to be Ashley’s doctor. Victor has just told Dr. Taylor that his credentials are impressive when Olivia stops by the table and she is totally impressed that Ashley is in the hands of this extraordinary doctor and says she’s in better hands with him. Olivia continues to praise Dr. Taylor and Victor says then you approve of our choice. Ashley says that means you approve Victor? So it’s confirmed, Dr. Taylor is Ashley’s new doctor. Dr. Taylor leaves and calls Adam and says well I smiled and said all the right things to this diluted woman, Happy he asks. Victor leaves Ashley and Olivia alone to talk. Olivia says that she was just worried about her as a friend and they make nice and patch up their relationship. Olivia says she was her doctor and should not stress her out. Do no harm she says. They talk about how she found Dr. Taylor and Ashley lets Olivia know that she found Dr. Taylor. She doesn’t tell her It was Adam who made the recommendation. Then Ashley tells Olivia that she doesn’t have to worry about her being with Victor that Victor and this baby is what she needs and is right. It’s all working out. Olivia says she looks radiant and she is happy her friend is back. Olivia promises to stay out of her business good naturedly. Then Olivia gets a call and she has to go to the hospital Ashley explained to Victor when he returned.
Mary Jane tells Victor that Nick left his wife so Jack is free. We can be together. Good news says Victor. She says she told him she could win Jack if she had more time. Victor says he gave her more time and she made mistakes. Any more miss steps and you are bound to fail says Victor. Jack was here in my bed she tells Victor. Good he says but what about this restraining order with Paul Williams. Mary Jane explains that he did a background check on her and figured out she didn’t exist until a couple of months ago. Victor asks her if she thought it as a good idea to provoke him. He tells her she will talk to the Judge and get the restraining order lifted and apologizing to Paul Williams would go a long ways. Mary Jane says she can’t face Paul he should know that. He tells her to figure out a way. Mary Jane says you wanted me gone and Victor tells her if he really wanted her gone she’d be gone. What about Jack when this is all over she asks Victor? He says he’s sure we will have a happy ending for all of us. You really think so says Mary Jane? Victor goes out the door and shuts it without answering her.
Phyllis and Jack continue their talk about Mary Jane and Jack confesses to Phyllis that he’s not been so successful in the romance department. Phyllis tells Jack he’d be a bad guy to lead her on. He says he won’t do that. He tells Phyllis he learned his lesson an long time ago three times. Three woman Phyllis asks? No 3 bullets says Jack. Bullets says Phyllis as in the scars on and Jack says yes. I ask about those she says and you told me…I didn’t want to tell you I was shot because I was a bastard that doesn’t roll easy off the tongue. You tell me now that you more than most aren’t lucky in love says Jack. But maybe it was my biggest mistake as I drove a perfectly innocent woman to attempted murder.
Mac tells Raul you know how you were in Darfur and she says it’s like that for her in Genoa City. She tells him this shirt she’s wearing was a big decision for her like life and death. She says her life there doesn’t make sense but in Darfur it she knew what to expect death, violence and hunger. Raul says they can do this together. Mac says you seem so sure. Do you love me he asks Mac? Yes I do says Mac. Then I’m sure.
Chloe is furious with Billy. Now you have scruples she says to Billy. You stop yourself for the purity of your love for Mac? Billy tells Chloe she’s a great girl. Great girl says Chloe. What? I’m your wife. Billy says he just needs time to think. Chloe tells him so he can whine and pine over some girl who she bets has no problem having sex with her fiancé. This is when she tells him she’s so done with him and Billy says yeah for this time. Until the next time you decide to come over. Come on this is us pleads Billy. This is who we are honey. How many times have you warned me that you aren’t worth the effort? How many times she repeats. Believe me when I say this I am done. This is when she takes off her ring and tosses it down.
I couldn’t press charges says Jack. She just wanted to care for me. Imagine my joy at watching Billy go down the same path. You have reason to be mad at Billy says Phyllis. I am furious with Billy says Jack but I want to tell him about doing stupid, selfish things that stay with you for the rest of your life. You kept this all a secret from me says Phyllis. Well I didn’t want to give you any ideas quips Jack. Smart says Phyllis. She was a good person, she didn’t deserve what I put her through says Jack. I am a better man now than I was then he adds.
Mary Jane is talking to Kitty again saying it didn’t turn out to be such a bad day after all. Jack and her made love and it was wonderful. Then she mentions Phyllis and how her and Jack might have sex soon but she knows what path she is going to take this time. Then she says Summer, you’d like her she tells Kitty. But the real news she continues is that Victor is back on my side again. He said Jack and I would have a happy ending. I knew that would happen she tells dead Kitty.
Victor asks Ashley if her and Olivia had a good time. She says they did but Olivia was called to the hospital. She tells Victor she’s had a wonderful night out and thanks him. She also says she’s been thinking about a name for the baby and if it’s a girl she was thinking of Hope. And she was hoping he wouldn’t mind. Victor says this child is a child of hope and that name would be very appropriate and he adore her.
