Nick and Sharon continue their reconciliation today. They talk about having no regret, no shame and Nick says no need to explain. They are together and that’s the way it should be. That’s all that matters. Sharon, who usually has no heart all of a sudden feels badly for Phyllis and knows how much this is going to hurt her. Nick rationalizes this by saying he knows she’s suffering (what an ego huh?) but she’d understand it would be better than being married to him when she knows his heart belong to Sharon. Now Sharon feels badly for old Jack too. The one who has been so good to her no matter who she slept with or how many times and even not knowing who the Father of the baby is. So Sharon decides that she needs to tell Jack in person. He deserves that much. Well now these two seem to have covered it all, including remembering that they always had oatmeal cookies and milk before bed when Sharon was pregnant with Noah. I swear this is so hard for me to watch much less write about. It makes me want to gag. Sorry.
Now old Smiling Jack and Phyllis have just finished their romp up on the love couch too. Neither of them appear to have any regrets although Phyllis wonders where that came from. Phyllis is on the pity pot and says she was never enough for Nick and Jack tells her not to talk like that. He’s still holding out hope that they can fix all of this. He’s going to fight for Sharon and Phyllis is going to fight for Nick too. Excuse me people but when your heart if broken over someone you really love do you really sleep with each other’s spouses? I found these scenes over the edge myself since Jack and Phyllis already had a marriage together but I guess that’s why they pay real writers. This has been done before writers and we don’t need to be seeing it again.
Now Mary Jane had been watching Jack and Phyllis through the window at Phyllis’ house (nobody ever shuts a door or closes a blind on this show) and she’s now back at her house cutting out pictures and pasting them to a piece of poster board I’ll call it for lack of better words. Paper maybe. Anyway it’s pictures of who she hates. Victor’s made the list and Sharon’s made the list and now she just cut Phyllis out and she’s being added to the board too. Now in case you haven’t noticed I believe that Mary Jane has some issues. Like mental type but that’s just me. She later runs into Jackie Boy in the bar downstairs and invites him upstairs to her room to finish up their drinks. Jack starts to talk business and she cuts him off. She wants to have fun and play a game. She takes off Jack’s tie and pushes him to the bed and blindfolds him. Jack quips this must be blind man’s bluff kind of. Mary Jane now has a pair of scissors and she gets on top of Jack and runs the scissors around his cheek and then across his neck. At some point, which we don’t see they do the wild thing after Jack asks her who won this game and Mary Jane says she guesses he did and here’s his prize as she disrobes to her bra. Old Jack might have more than he can handle here. He just finished with Phyllis and barely had time to catch his breath when Mary Jane comes along. A lot of action in a short time for an old guy but hey it’s a soap and on soaps they can do most anything they want. Even if it’s unbelievable to us as a viewer. Also it would be funny if Sharon comes to tell him about her and Nick being back together and they have one for the road too. That would make him tied with Sharon for 3 wild things in less than a 24 hour period. You go Jack….Now Mary Jane does tell Jack she might change her mind about leaving town now. Jack tells her not to make any changes to her life based on him he has a lot on his mind and this was fun. She says it was more than fun so maybe Jack has picked himself up a stalker too and maybe his picture will get added to the poster board if he upsets Mary Jane too much. Mary Jane says maybe you should have another drink and Jack realizes he's in over his head and he says he thinks two is his limit. I am not sure he's referring to drinks at this point. Jack's had himself quite the day and maybe, just maybe, he will live to regret this part.....
Meantime at Daniel’s place Agent Aucker has shown up and it’s not the same Aucker that had Daniel paint the picture. He’s over at Victoria’s trying to get Victoria to buy the fake painting for the Newman Foundation. Now he’s calling himself Mr. Balfore if I heard the name right. (stay with me it only took me 3 days to get Aucker right). Agent Aucker tells Daniel that this phony guy had played him just right. Daniel tells Aucker that he threatened his friends if he didn’t cooperate. Aucker doesn’t really say he doesn’t believe Daniel but he says once he has taken a polygraph and he has his official statement he will see where it goes. Daniel’s frustrated he ever got into this and that Agent Aucker don’t believe him. He tells Daniel the guy broke in and all they took was the painting? And nobody else saw him but you. Daniel tries to tell him that Jana and Amber both saw him. But the agent is not convinced that Daniel is telling the truth.
Victoria gets the story from Mr. Belfore and she tells him she’s called a friend who has a good eye for modern art I think she said and that’s who is at her door. Guess who? Jana of course. Mr. Belfore’s back is to Jana and when he turns around they are both shocked. Victoria realizes that the painting is stolen herself. While she’s taking a closer look and asks this Belfore what made him think the Newman Foundation would be interested in buying a stolen painting, Belfore gets Jana alone and tells her if she says one word that he will make sure her friend Daniel never can pick up a paint brush again. So finally Jana ends up encouraging Victoria to buy the painting thinking it would be a good idea since who ever stole it left the frame and it hangs on the wall all alone. It’s pitiful she says and she has all these reasons that Victoria should buy the painting. Belfore tells her it’s worth a million dollars but his client will take 10 cents on the dollar. Victoria says $100,000 and she says OK she will take the painting. She wants to know what time to expect him tomorrow night after they haggle over how long it will take her to get that much cash together. (hey go and get it out of Victor’s safe Ashley could use your help about now). Anyway he says they aren’t meeting at her place they will meet in the alley behind Jimmy’s Tavern tomorrow night. Once he’s gone Victoria says she’s calling the Feds. Jana looks like she wishes she wouldn’t but she keeps quiet to save Daniel’s neck. This is one time Jana the truth might set you free and save everyone’s life. Victoria does call the Feds and Agent Aucker shows up and asks Victoria if she will wear a wire for this. The agent says we have no idea who he is (too bad Daniel can’t draw him a picture hello, writers) but he could be dangerous but Victoria says sure she wants to help in any way that she can. (Now don’t you just know how much JT is going to like the idea of Victoria meeting a crook in an alley behind Jimmy’s tavern wearing a wire? I bet that will just make his day).
Jana goes by Daniel's and tells him what has happened with the phony Agent Aucker. Jana says they should call the real agent and Daniel says it wouldn't do any good because he doesn't believe Daniel. Daniel tells Jana a better idea is for him to get to the meeting place early and try and see what this guy is up to to confront him. Jana thinks that's a very dangerious idea and says I don't know what I'd do if something happened and then she just stops talking like she doesn't want to finish that sentence.
Nikki stops by the ranch to check on Ashley. She is pounding on the door and calling Ashley’s name and she doesn’t answer. She finally uses her key to get in and runs into Adam who tells her that Jack took Ashley out to dinner since there was no power and he was sleeping and the phone woke him up. I turned in early he tells Nikki. Nikki seems satisfied but still doubtful but she leaves. Adam goes back to Ashley and leans over her and says Oh My God so much blood. Ashley I’m sorry you didn’t deserve this he says as he‘s trying to clean up the blood and mess. Adam freaks and he says something about Victor did it as he’s frustrated over the situation that he himself has caused. He was dressed up as Sabrina in the purple dress and all and tried to scare Ashley which he did. She had fallen down the stairs as Adam reached out to try and take her hand. I don’t think he meant for her to fall but now he has this mess on his hands. Ashley is heard calling out help me, somebody help me. Adam had carried her upstairs, changed her nightgown and put her back to bed. Then her tried to convince her it wall all a dream but Ashley insists that it wasn’t a dream and that Adam was there and Sabrina. Ashley finally comes downstairs and confronts Adam and asks him what he was trying to do to her. Adam continues to try and convince her that it was all a dream. He asks her if it’s OK for him to play Dr. Freud for a minute. He tells her dreams about falling are normal and that Sabrina had lost Victor’s baby and that had to be on her mind and he was there and she talked to him before she went to sleep so of course she’d dream about him and Sabrina. It was a dream. Ashley says she doesn’t know what to believe. While this conversation is going on Nikki runs into Jack at the GCAC as he’s leaving. She saw him going upstairs with Mary Jane when she got to the GCAC and looked stumped like where is Ashley. Then as she is leaving she sees him again and asks about Ashley. Did you take her home already? Jack hasn’t a clue what she is talking about. She tells him she stopped by the ranch and though he took her out to dinner then she realizes that Adam lied to her and just blows Jack off and says never mind I must have been mistaken. Nikki then calls Adam and this is about the time Ashley comes downstairs but you don’t’ hear the answering machine at the ranch you just see Nikki telling Adam I know you lied to me about Jack taking Ashley out to dinner then it goes back to Ashley and Adam. She ask him what did I do change my own nightgown? Am I sleep walking now too she adds. Adam tells Ashley he understands why she might think he knew something since he was the only other one in the house. But if you fell down the stairs and hurt the baby wouldn’t there be some sign of it? I don’t noticed anything have you. And if you fell down the stairs don’t you think I would have called an ambulance Adam continues? I don’t want anything bad to happen to you pleads Adam. Just like a the dream says Ashley I saw Sabrina then saw you and you reached for my hand tried to catch me. In your dream reminds Adam. No, No, No says Ashley. That’s when Adam tried to play Dr. Freud and Ashley says so you think I need a shrink now too? His explanation ended with and that’s why when you woke up you really felt physical pain. You ask me to explain it Ashley and as disturbing as it may feel I think that’s it Ash. I don’t know maybe says Ashley it just seems so real. Ok listen says Adam I’ll have my doctor friend check you out in the morning. And he’ll prove you are OK promise he says? Go back to sleep now. Get come rest. Adam watches her go back upstairs and then he clutches his hands over his face. We all saw Adam cleaning up and he had Ashley’s clothes and he took them somewhere to get rid of them and he did redress Ashley in a new nightgown even though we didn’t see that part. Adam seems to know there is something bad wrong with Ashley or her baby and maybe for once he doesn’t know what to do next. Hopefully the doctor will put his little mind at ease in the morning. If there is a Harvard friend that is a doctor. With Adam you never know. He does have Victor’s talent for coming out smelling like a rose.
Daniel stops by Phyllis’ place and Phyllis lets him know Nick left her for Sharon. Daniel advises her by telling her if I came to you and told you that Amber did this to me what would you advise me to do. Other than saying you are better off, yes she laughs you would be better off but I’d tell you to fight. Daniel tells her if she really loves Nick he’s worth the fight and she should not give up. They end up hugging. It was a nice tender moment between Mom and son in the middle of this nutty show today. It actually made sense. They used Phyllis’ history of what she would tell Daniel against her to get Daniel to get Phyllis to fight for Nick. Our Phyllis wouldn’t sleep with Jack she’s be in the bed with Sharon and Nick pleading her case, but not these writers. Shame on you guys.
At the end of the show right after Nikki ask Jack about Ashley and taking her to dinner Phyllis comes boppin in and tells Jack she’s going to fight for her husband. Jack tries to stop her by telling her this is not the right time. She says she is going to tell her husband something. Jack tells her this is the wrong time. Phyllis says you think they are up there. Leave this alone for tonight Phyllis says Jack. Phyllis looks like she wants to resist but Jack says come on I’ll take you home. Phyllis really looks helpless. I sure hope in between his little trysts tonight that he will check in on Ashley at the main house. She really does need him too.
NEXT ON THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS:
JT walks in about the time that agent Aucker is finishing up wiring Victoria for her little adventure with the art thief. Trust me he does not look impressed as to where the Agent’s hands are.
Adam asks an elderly gentleman, (I am only assuming he’s a doctor) What the AMA does to a doctor who sexually assaults their patients? (I have no idea what he is talking about much less who. This guy is probably too old to sexually assault anyone so hang on Adam’s up to something).
Jack is at Phyllis’ door again and Phyllis seems happy to see him and throws her arms around him to greet him. As Mary Jane is lurking of course. Man this woman definitely has it bad for Jack so Sharon and Phyllis should beware.
