Jack gets a phone call from Jamie who likes all the changes. Phyllis said she should she made them. Nick tells Jack he wants to talk to him and Jack says he's too busy and Nick says not this time Photo Studio please now. Sharon says oh good alpha-male contest and Phyllis says Jack was strutting around like top dog so he deserves it.
Nick tells Jack if he wanted to work for a dictator he'd at stayed at Newman. You made these changes when Phyllis and I both said we were against them. This is a Victor Newman tactic. Just like my Father. Dismissive and controlling classic Victor. Jack says he made the changes because he wasn't there to make the decision. And when he's not he had to act. Nick says it was a power play. Jack said it wasn't meant as a power play. They are still on the same team. Nick says there was no team work involved. Jack says he does not discount what him and Phyllis bring to the table. Someone has to take charge. Nick says OK as long as this is what this is about. Nick says that will make it a lot easier for him to decide what's best when Jack is not around.
Sharon and Phyllis discuss the Nick/Jack pow wow and agree they are both distracted. Sharon says well everyone is stressed and things get said. Sharon said they had to be said and Phyllis says sure they had to be said kind of mockingly.
Sharon asks Jack if he won. He makes some comment about being compared to Victor Newman.
Sabrina enters looking for Nick. Phyllis says oh you are up early, the early bird gets the worm thing and you now live with an early riser huh? Amber wants to see Sabrina's ring that she's heard of. Phyllis says it's big and it must hurt her hand to lift it. Sabrina says yes it hurts her biceps. Daniel says congratulations and Sabrina says thanks and notices some painting that Daniel has done. She says he has talent and should go to art school and let her know if he needs a recommendation. Phyllis takes Sabrina and says lets have coffee and discuss wedding gowns and whisks her off.
Nick shows up and asks Sabrina if his Dad sent her. She says no and they discuss the fact that the engagement announcement wasn't all hugs and kisses. Sabrina says she's sorry there wasn't more of a warm up. She wants to have the key to the loading dock for a delivery. She leaves and Phyllis asks how it went. Nick says they talked it out. Phyllis says talked it out? Nick says yes until he does it again.
Nick has called a last minute pep rally. Phyllis wants to know if she can be home coming queen. He says she's the best pick from there. (If only they had put the camera on Sharon). The team agrees to be honest and up front with each other. Do things with joint consensus and Jack adds only under circumstances would it not be the decision of all four of them. Daniel announces the first copy of Restless Style is on it's way. When the copy arrives Nick says he has to agree that Jack was right it is great. But they can't make the shipping deadline.
Jack says they have moved backed shipping and added 5 planes. Phyllis says it's good they tested this on the Web-zine. Nick adds they have added a printer company on the west coast to ease some of the load. Victoria calls Nick to talk to him about their Mom and realizes he's busy and says it can wait no big deal. Nick senses it is and says he needs a break and goes to meet her.
Phyllis typing and Sharon asks her if she changed the font. She says yes. You have a problem with it. Sharon says she does and Phyllis says she don't have time for Sharon to micro-manage. Amber and Daniel hear that and both go oh boy and Daniel quotes Yoga Berra saying It's Ain't Over Till It's Over. Amber never heard of him or the expression but she is soon to find out what that means I am sure. First hand. Mitch calls and says if there are no further glitches they should make the shipping deadline. Then there is a computer noise or noise in Phyllis' computer and Daniel asks what that noise is. It appears the Web-zine might have crashed there is not file all of a sudden.
Nick does visit Victoria and she tells him Mom is in Mexico getting married. Nick says maybe that's the way she does it act quick and get it done to get over Victor. Victoria says it's like pulling off a band aid quickly but it still hurts. They agree their parents are not quite right and they can't control the situation but Nick says they still have the Nick and Vic show which is great and they both laugh. Nick is shown trying to do a field goal over Victoria's hand that are formed for a goalposts. Goofing around by the siblings of these two very out of touch parents they think they have.
Sabrina is looking at her engagement ring and wedding magazines and Victor enters. She asks him if he's really her fiance and all of this is happening. Victor asks her what her dream wedding was when she was a little girl. She mentions France and a 14th century church and Victor says they should do that with her family and friends. She says no the church needs renovated it's been in ruins since the war and Victor says lets renovate it. She tells Victor he doesn't have the patience to wait and he says he's more and more patient. He promises her that she will have the wedding of her dreams.
Nikki and David finally make Mexico. Meet Fred Flynn the Pastor of the chapel they are looking for. He says this is it. But he says he can marry them. He has a mail order license he's very proud of. The chapel burnt down a short time ago Mrs. Flynn offers. Nikki says she's covered in cat hair. She tells David maybe this is a sign we shouldn't go through with this. David looks scared that she might not go through with it.
Meantime back at the office Brad has tried to reach Nikki and she is unreachable he tells Victoria so therefore he's in charge.
Katherine and Jill are having lunch and discussing Victoria. Katherine says she has no idea why Victor would let Victoria leave in the first place. Jill says why don't you just ask him. He's sitting at another table.
Katherine goes over to talk to Victor and brings up Victoria. She questions if he took her well-being into consideration. He tells Katherine that she wanted to leave and she knows how kids are they do what they want. And he's tired of being blamed for everything. It's not his fault. Katherine says she is not blaming him. Victor tells Katherine she's an old friend but he don't want her in his personal life. Katherine says as an old friend she doesn't understand all the pain and turmoil this has caused for him and why he's letting it go on. Victor tells her again not to blame him.
Victoria runs into Sabrina at the coffee house and Victoria says nice ring. Then says it's ostentatious. Sabrina goes to explain Victor bought it and Victoria finishes to show his feelings for you. Give me a break says Victoria. Sabrina says your Father is an amazing man and generous and Victoria says rushing to the alter. Thought Dad had some sense. Sabrina says they aren't rushing in fact they are committed. And Sabrina adds and nothing or nobody is going to change that.
Nikki tells David she has a lot of messages and let someone else deal with it today. David tries to convince her that the wedding will be fine and he pulls some flowers out of a vase and says here's a vase. Nikki says David very disappointed. David offers to wait and have the wedding in August as planned so Nikki can have the wedding she wanted. He tells her she is worth waiting for.
Sabrina walks up where Katherine and Victor are talking and he introduces her to Katherine. Sabrina says she likes her but she's not sure Katherine likes her. (Katherine made no move to make Sabrina feel that way). Victor says that's her problem and Sabrina agrees yes it is her problem. (Why so aggressive with Katherine Sabrina)?
David has called for a flight. If they leave now they can make a plane that leaves in two hours. Nikki says the thought of her getting back on that plane makes her sick. Mrs. Flynn offers there is a garden out back that is the most beautiful place on the island and they could have their wedding there. And She hands Nikki a white wedding gown. She said you could wear this dress and Nikki says it is pretty. Nikki looks at the garden and says it's beautiful there and she's going through with it. Nikki says they should call the kids. She calls Victoria who is happy to hear from her. She tells Victoria she took the day off to get married. Victoria says that is funny Mom. She tells Victoria she is serious and that David went on line and found this beautiful place. So Victoria says it was David's idea then? Nikki says no they decided. Victoria says with no family or friends? Nikki says she didn't want to add to that drama. Victoria says well give David my best then. Then she says Mom all I really want if for you to be happy even if it's not with Dad. Or something like that.
Jill meets Sabrina on her way out they have art in common and Jill wants to do lunch with Sabrina sometimes and discuss the Autumn Art Fair maybe they could combine forces. Sabrina has left her PDA in the car so her and Jill go after it. Katherine stays behind to visit with Victor. She tells him one more thing she has to say and Victor says why am I not surprised. Katherine tells Victor that Nikki and David are getting married today. Victor says well isn't that a match made in heaven. Damn, miracles never cease, I'll have to send my condolences. Sabrina returns and Victor has been thinking of Nikki and their wedding and tells her he didn't realize the time and he has something he has to do at the ranch.
David is with Mrs. Flynn dropping coins in a fountain type thing. She says one for each of the apostles and one for the savior. 13 coins. They are a symbol of his support and protection when he gives them to Nikki. Nikki is getting ready and I have to say she looks beautiful. Wonderful hair style and the dress is beautiful on her. It's too bad it's going to break her heart someday. Anyway She hears a guitarists and Mrs. Flynn says it's her nephew who will serenade her. She seems to like that. Mrs. Flynn asks if the dress fits OK and Nikki says just like it was made for me.
Meantime back at the office Jill and Brad are engaged in their usual back stabbing of Nikki. There is a crisis and Brad says he's going to run it by Heather Stevens to see if she can do anything.
Katherine walks in on them and he leaves and Jill wants to know why they pay Nikki a salary and everyone else does her work. Katherine wants to know what Brad is taking credit for now. (Well now Katherine does get it don't she)? She tells Jill that Nikki is in Mexico getting married. Jill says that gives nepotism a whole new meaning. Katherine says if you'd mind your own business and let Nikki run Jabot I just think you are making too much of it. Jill says that a good CEO wouldn't blow off work to elope to Mexico.
Nikki is walking down the aisle and the guitar is playing and it is playing a song that throws Nikki for a loop. She remembers it from Victor. David sees this and questions her right in the middle of her walking down the aisle and she says it's been a long time since I heard the song is all.
Victor comes in and asks Sabrina how long she's been home. She says a while. Victor says he took Nikki's horse for a ride. A hard ride it needs to be ridden once in a while. He tells her he's going to take a bath his back hurts. And Sabrina says it's good that we are humans we can talk about what bothers us. She tells Victor she will draw his bath and Victor likes that. She starts to leave and Victor calls her back. She says yes Victor. He goes for it and kisses her and is undressing her on one side of the screen and David and Nikki are getting married on the other side of the screen. This is the most passionate love scene I've seen between Victor and Sabrina or on Victor's part anyway. It's intense and heated. I wonder if Sabrina is going to stop this if she will have any sense that this is not about Victor loving her but about Victor losing Nikki to another man.

Does anyone think that Sabrina got it that all that love stuff from Victor was about Nikki. Now if he does she should call a halt to what was going on when it went off today. The first hint she knew was that she said she knew he was riding Nikki's horse. So she had to be in tune with his feelings at that point that something was up. Now he may love Sabrina and want to spend the rest of his life with her, but today he's hurting over Nikki. And he's angry over Nikki and he took it out on her horse and then it looks like Sabrina was about to reap some reward. If that was you and your man was about to love you rough and you sensed it was over some other woman would you put a halt to it? I would for sure and I do think she knows something is up.

Nikki had her out today and she almost took it. But I did learn something today. Nikki is not turning a deaf ear or blind eye to David. David is controlling her. Watch him. He says oh you should have the wedding you dreamed of and I want you now but you are worth waiting for. He is manipulating Nikki. Now she's not Einstein I don't mean that but David is in control. He said all the right things she leaves Victor. He says all the right things they move in together. He says all the right things she divorces Victor. He breaks down and tells her he has a problem with gambling and needs to pay back a debt and she offers to help and oh no he don't want her to do it. Well who the heck did he think was going to offer to pay it back? Or what did he think she'd say tough oats? She should have for sure. He says the right things and she finally sets the date for the wedding. He knows exactly what to say and do and he knows when to say it and do it. He is a master manipulator. I thought it was just Nikki being deaf, dumb, blind and stupid but it's not. He works her like a puppet. It really hit me today sitting there and watching him. He made her think it was her idea. She felt bad for David and didn't want him disappointed and he said the right things like it was all about her and what she wanted and she sucked it right up. Now she's married to this goof ball and I might I add that Nikki looked really pretty today and just beautiful in that dress and her hair and makeup were perfect. Such a radiant bride made this story even sadder. I honestly thought she was more beautiful today marrying David than she ever was with Victor. Did David manipulate me too? LOL

Today Sabrina had no reason to say she didn't know if Katherine liked her after she told Victor that she liked Katherine.
Then there was that little matter of her telling Victoria that nothing or nobody could cause her and Victor not to be committed. (Oh I love it when someone says nothing or nobody will ever cause because sure enough it does). These two situations today made me think that soon we will learn much more about Sabrina. Maybe her Father isn't a diplomat. Maybe she met Victoria and wanted her life to be as rich and impressive as Victoria's. Notice how quickly she said no to getting married in Italy with her family and friends? Hint Hint. She blamed it on Victor's impatience . I think it might be her own background. Anyway hints are starting to be dropped about Sabrina. These things struck me odd today. What about you? Did you get any senses on Sabrina today? |

Now I have to tell you that today when Phyllis went off with Sabrina I thougtht she was going to tell her that she needed to not suggest to Daniel anything about going to art school that she wanted him working there or a career as a photographer. Not an aspiring artist. But instead I think she might have laid the foundation to befriend Sabrina and get to know her so she can figure out for Nick what makes her tick. I think by what Phyllis said to Nick later that she is on some kind of fact finding mission.
