David tells Nikki he had an early meeting when she mentions he was up and gone early. It was Step 10 of his 12 step program for gambling. Personal Inventory. Honesty. And he tells her that he lied to her. I lied to you that it didn't bother me about having joint bank accounts. He tells her he has to be honest so therefore he has to acknowledge he has these feelings about the bank accounts. David has a meeting ending and he says he's going to have another look at the Jabot ad. Then he sees that a fighter is heavily favored on the sports page which seems to have attracted his attention. Later Victoria asks about the movie deal David and Nikki were working on and if they'd signed and David said yes. Victoria suggests they give their customers Swag bags as a premium to make them feel like they are really there. David thinks that's a good idea and Victoria says me too. JT comes by with the baby to pick up Victoria it's his 6 month check up. JT see the paper and asks David if he likes boxing? David says he's not much into boxing. JT says Ortiz is going off at 5-1. and Victoria leave and out comes David's cell phone and he calls Bookie Andy wanting a piece of the action on the boxer.
Danny came by and told Phyllis he wants Daniel to go on tour with him. For the summer. Phyllis is not happy. She tells Danny she will have to ask Daniel and not to do it today it's not a good day for him. But Danny does anyway. Daniels says he'll have to think about it and get back to him. Danny says OK but he only has one day. Danny tells Amber about this and she's excited until she finds out it's for all summer. Later Phyllis talks to Nick and tells him she remembers when Daniel was on tour before and that time in her life hurts. Nick tells her that she needs to get a hold of herself and realize this isn't forever. Phyllis says what if he goes and sees the world and all the wonderful things there and never comes back. Amber is listening and tears are rolling down her face. Nick later tells Phyllis that she don't sound like the hippest Mom all of a sudden with all her concerns. Danny talks to Daniel later and says he didn't realize that today was the 3rd anniversary of Cassie's death or the day as he called it. He tells him he's sorry it must be a tough day. Daniel says thanks and tells him again he'll get back to him. Danny tells Daniel he will be an assistant to his photographer earlier so a paycheck would be involved. Phyllis kept butting in and Danny finally got her to leave so he could talk to Daniel. When he ran into Daniel again he told him he would actually be taking pictures at the Art Festival. (It's a festival the sound was so bad I am not sure exactly). Sorry.
Amber was still upset she hadn't received any hits on her ad. Daniel told her he wished she believed in herself as much and him and Mrs. Chancellor believed in her. She asks him if he will wear her clothes. Never was his answer.
Nick and Sharon share a moment at the coffee house. Sharon tells Nick she wasn't sure he'd remember and he said he didn't. They talk for awhile and he says neither of us remember this day how do we get through this. Later at the office Phyllis tells Sharon that she is thinking of Cassie too. Daniel also remembers this day and mentions it to Nick and Sharon. Sharon ask Nick to go to the graveyard with her and Nick says he can't and please don't hate him. Sharon says that would never happen she just thought she'd ask. Sharon does goes and talks to Cassie about Graduation, prom, boys and her growing up. She ends up crying then she lays down on top of Cassie's grave.
Phyllis tells Nick this isn't working. Being here the meeting and the lists. Nick says he has to try or he'll drive himself crazy. This is all about Cassie.
Paul and JT discuss David and his ex-wife. Paul is going to Bermuda to try and find her. JT mentions that Paul still has a soft spot for Nikki. He admits that he does. He tells JT there isn't much incriminating the marriage was less than a year. He says the truth lies in wife number three. First wife died of an illness the second in a car accident. But why did number 3 move out of the country. Paul said if you were afraid of your ex you might move that far and go into hiding.
Adam comes in and asks Sabrina if Victor is home. She says he's in the study. Victor comes out and tells Adam he wants to talk to him. Alone please. Adam says they can talk business in front of his fiance. Victor tells Adam he don't give a damn what he has a problem with. I'm talking now and when I talk people listen. Got that? You should learn to listen some more perhaps you would learn something and we wouldn't be in the mess we are in. Adam says he don't understand, Sir. Victor says the company you were so hot to acquire will cost us millions to fix. Adam says he don't understand and Victor cuts him off. What don't you understand son. It's in plain English. The company you were so hot to acquire is up to it's eyeballs in debt and lawsuits. Adam says he did his due diligence Sir. Victor says obviously not enough. Adam says I thought, Victor cuts him off again and says You have nothing to say right now. I know what you thought and I'll do this now. Adam says he doesn't know what to say. Victor charges at Adam Don't ever do this again. Not consulting with me. You understand that? Do not perceptibly buy a company without consulting with me. Thank you. Adam leaves.
Victoria runs into Neil and Neil tells her that Victor is furious with Adam over this mess up. Later Victoria asks Nikki when is a Newman not a Newman. She says when Adam screws up. She tells Nikki that Neil says Victor is furious. Nikki tells Victoria that her Father set Adam up. Victoria says Adam is a back stabbing little viper. Nikki says sometimes they only understand a good swift kick.
Adam walks into Neil's office and asks if he's working on Natural Glow? Neil says yes and it's in the hands of the lawyers. Adam wants to know what they can do and adds what can I do? Neil tells Adam that legal says trying to get out of the deal is highly unlikely at this point. Adam says Victor said it came up in the independent audit. Did you order that? Neil says no Victoria did right after you steam-rolled her. You know says Neil all she was doing was double checking. That's what we do here at Newman. When we are about to drop 8 figures. That's what they taught me at Stanford he adds. Adam says look Neil I know this is a big mistake. My Big Mistake. But they buried that information. Neil says no they didn't. You just didn't read careful enough. Natural Glow indicated pending legal actions of which they were involved. It was your job to track them down. Adam says alright I need to know the bottom line. It's a patent infringement action what does legal say this is going to cost us? If we win high six in legal fees. If we lose says Neil, you don't want to know.
Victoria goes by the coffee house and stops by the memorial for Cassie. She runs into Sabrina who tells her she knows it's a hard day for her and is she OK. Victoria says that's a beautiful bag. Sabrina says it was a gift from Victor and Victoria said she figured that. Sabrina says it's a big extravagant for her tastes. She tells Victoria the short version of Victor's shopping spree. Sabrina tells Victoria she can empathize with Adam. Victoria ask Sabrina if she'd buy a wood sculpture without checking for termites. Sabrina says no but it's hard to find one's place in family there is so little margin for error. Victoria says welcome to my world and enjoy it while you can. Sabrina says alright I have to head to the gallery. Victoria says don't let me keep you. Sabrina exits and Victoria calls the florist and sends Nick and Sharon daisies and a nice note about Cassie.
Victoria sees Adam come in and tells him he looks down in the dumps. Adam says nice report on Natural Glow. Wish I hadn't waited to read it. I thought I was doing something great for Newman. Something for him. Victoria tells him to admit your error. Offer a solution, think creatively and propose a settlement. He won't listen of course. But that's not the point. But do what he wants you to do and then he will tell you how to fix it. Victoria also tells him I could have helped you a lot if you had just given me the chance.
Nikki runs into Victor. She tells him she heard about Adam. Victor asks her if she's there to gloat. No she says. Well sue the company with deep pockets that's me said Victor. Nikki says business is business don't take it personal. That's what you always say. Don't let it affect your personal relationships. Victor says do me a favor no lectures on personal relationships alright? How dare you go and run off with that shady character, that professional parasite. Nikki says a man your age dating his daughter's best friend needs a little advice. Really charges Victor. Really says Nikki.
Neil tells Victor that Michael says they'll lose three years profits. Victor says what we work hard and do all the work and write Nikki a check each month. You tell Michael Baldwin to facilitate a settlement. Neil says Michael Baldwin says it might work out much better if you work directly with Nikki on this. Victor says he's too busy for that today and doesn't have time. But he didn't say it was out of the question so things are looking up anyway.
Adam tells Victor that he's made a stupid mistake. A calla so blunder. I should have ordered my own independent audit. That is what I should have done. I was penny wise and million dollar foolish. I take full responsibility . But I want the opportunity to fix this. Victor tells Adam that he was surrounded by people who know their business. Doing a lousy job is doing a lousy job and you have lousy excuses. Adam says he will make this up to you Sir. Victor tells Adam to work harder and work smarter, use the brains that your Mother and I gave you. Adam says he will. Victor says and remember one ill-conceived notion and one adolescent decision changes everything.
Sabrina asks Victor if he doesn't think he was a bit hard on Adam. Victor tells Sabrina that life is hard.

Victoria advised Adam to offer a settlement when she talked to him about what to do with this mess he made. It's funny when Neil told Victor what Michael had said he told Neil to tell Michael to work on a quick settlement. Him and Victoria were sure on the same page as to the resolution of this problem. No payments just settle it.

Danny wants Daniel to go on tour with him. Phyllis is mental over it and Amber's heart seems to be breaking. This is a big deal. Give up the photograpy job he has to go and work as an assistant with the photographer on Danny's tour. Both are exciting opportunities for sure. I know how Phyllis and Amber must feel but they both need to think about what is best for Daniel and what he wants. And he does need to spend some time with Danny. This way he could see the world and be with his Dad. Don't know where this is going to end up but it sure has the women in his life upset.

I did think it was nice of Victoria to give Adam the steps he'd need to take to make this right with Victor. Unfortunately it looks like the bar might have been set higher for Adam. Victor seems to be really making an example out him. Which I think he should that should take that chip off his shoulder a little bit and teach him to be part of the team. I think Victoria actually felt sorry for him and I was kind of proud of her for reaching out a little bit. I guess she didn't have to say she could have taught him so much if he would have just let her but that's the way Victoria sees this. I do think she tried and I do think Adam was arrogant and sneaky. But maybe they could have both tried a little harder. But at least Victoria showed a little maturity by not throwing it in his face. I know she was different with Neil and Nikki but I think she went out of her way to help Adam after all that happened and I am so very glad she did. Help end the war.

Victor was plenty mad today for sure. He was much harder on Adam than I expected. it is a very big deal and it is lots of money but it wasn't what I expected. I think Victor handled this right. He's going to be harder on Adam to prove a point. I think this is the best thing he could do. Make him earn it back since Victor trusted him so easily. I haven't seen Victor that worked up in a long time. 5 more minutes and I might have felt bad for Adam. But I didn't. Sorry leilamh..lol
