Jack tells Sharon he has a new idea for the Webzine in the second issue. Sharon says have you discussed this with Nick and Phyllis kind of mockingly. You know that's how you got in trouble last time for your unilateral decisions. Sharon goes on to tell Jack that now might not be the time since Nick had a rough night. Jack said it was hard on her too but Sharon says it was worse for Nick. Later Jack tells Sharon that he wants the advertisers begging to be on the cover. He says the second issue will be even better. Nick and Phyllis come in and Nick wants to talk to Sharon. Phyllis tells Jack that it was overwhelming when Jack ask how Nick was doing. Phyllis says just because it's fresh for Nick doesn't mean it has to be fresh for all of us. Jack says it is what it is. It led us to here and here is a pretty damn good place to be. Phyllis smiles as Jack walks off. Nick tells Sharon he wants to apologize for last night. Some memories were horrible and some were wonderful. I regret breaking up our family. Every moment I remember of Cassie is a gift. And that's how our little daughter lives on. Later Sharon tells Jack she loves the lip gloss that she is looking at on line. Jack says she would look good in that lip gloss. She wants to show it to Nick. As she walks across the room Phyllis says I love this layout. Nick says it really pops. Sharon tells Nick that Jack has a new webzine idea. Phyllis says if we all like it I'm all for it. Nick adds and if I come in and find it loaded without warning he's going to find his password changed without warning. Later Jack tells Sharon that the webzine idea is closer to a reality. Sharon wants to know when she can see it. He says he has about 8-10 things to do yet. Sharon says he's a little obsessed. Jack tells her Nick got most of the credit for the last issue and this time he wants her and the whole world to know your Jack Abbot is back. Later Jack announces that he has a webzine coo he's got Kathy Hilton to hold a live show. Nick says this is the first I've heard of it maybe we should talk about it.
Before coming to Restless Style Phyllis has found Nick still sleeping on the couch. Nick tells her he conked out there. Tough day. And worse night. Nick tells Phyllis when they were first married Phyllis used to bring him coffee with whipped cream. Phyllis asks him if he remembers that. He tells her he saw a family at the hospital and the little girl had a stuffed toy that played a lullaby. He sort of hums it sounds like the Brahms Lullaby. He tells Phyllis he used to sing that to Cassie when she was little and it brought back images of the crash, the hospital and all the events around her death. He tells her he's living it all over again. Phyllis wants to help him and she tells him she wants to do something, she doesn't know what to do. He says you are here now and that is a big something. Nick tells Phyllis he went to the cemetery with Sharon she has the same feelings. He goes on to tell Phyllis you know, when kids are little you promise them you will always care for them. You won't let anything happen to them. And they believe you. Phyllis tells Nick he was a wonderful Father to Cassie and wonderful Father now. Nick says Noah was supposed to be with him tonight and the entire passenger side of his care is totaled. It's a lie that we can protect them and keep them safe. Phyllis says no one she knows tries harder to be a better Dad than Nick. He's an amazing Father and an incredible man. He was kind and loving with Summer and Noah. Phyllis tells Nick she is proud to have him be the Father of her child. And she's sure Cassie felt loved and cared for every single second and minute of every single day. Nick goes on to tell her there were some good things today. He says he remembers falling in love with her. He says he can still smell the smoke in his beard when they got married in that bar in New Mexico. He remembers Summer being born in the elevator and Phyllis says yes Summer was Super Girl. He says he remembers their first kiss. And he remembers that their affair hurt many people. And that makes him sick. It's easier seeing Jack and Sharon so happy. Nick tells Phyllis he really, really like this guy that he is now much better than the old guy. And he tells her it's because of her that he became that guy. Phyllis starts to cry and they kiss.
Today is the anniversary of Phillip Chancellor's death. And Kay and Jill are both in rare form. Kay is upset with Jill for laying off old employees that have been with the company for years and years and when Jill asks her she admits she's afraid the competition will suck them up. She says they always do. But she also says these employees have families and mortgages and she wants Jill to resend these orders. Jill is not willing to do that. Kay insists it's capitalism. Kay is leaving and Cane is coming in and wanted to know why Grandma had such a furious face. They discuss it being the anniversary of Phillip's death Cane said he knew it was colored in, in black on Grandma's calender. Jill tells Cane that his Dad was so wonderful. She said she was young when they met and when he found out she was expecting him he planned a beautiful life. Cane asks if him and Grandma were married and she says no he was divorced or thought he was. She says your slobbery, alcoholic Grandmother and Cane says hold on doesn't it bother you to talk about your Mother that way? Cane is disgusted and says Mom don't worry about it. Jill and Kay pass at the desk and Kay asks Jill if she has rescinded those layoff orders. Jill asks her if she's re-assumed the positions of the Chairman of the Board. Kay shouts DO IT!. Cane sees Kay and says Grandma are you in a hurry? She says if it involves him no. He says he thought maybe they could just talk. Kay says About? Cane says he knows what today is and he'd like to talk about his Father to learn more about him. Kay says lets find a private place to talk. She says you know your Father was a wonderful man accept when his Mother was around. Later Jill tells Kay she's justified her retirement. She had signed a contract for a company working in Africa and created jobs Kay says and Jill says yes and now the government has nationalized the project. Kay says she can handle it and Jill says it's costing 20 million. Jill says more snide stuff and Kay says please leave now. Please. And Jill leaves. Cane comes in and Kay says she has one more story about his Dad she'd like to tell him. He says if it's about Mom and Kay says what the hell makes you think I want to tell you a story about your Mom? Back in the old days they had ballrooms where bands like Jimmy Dorsey and and Harry James played. We used to go and dance every Saturday night. Jill walks in and says yes when you could drag yourself away from the bar. Kay fires back she wasn't drinking back them. Cane says that's enough. Later Kay tells Jill that her lead sheet never looked like this. Jill says she's modernized it. She said she'd have her know she made millions of dollars a fortune the old fashioned way. In a way people could understand. Jill wants to know if there is anything about her that she doesn't resent today? Why would I resent you Jill. She says because I fell in love with your husband. Kay says you mean you stole my husband? Jill says well in Katherine's World yes but in the real world no. So in return you undermine me. I made you head of Chancellor Industries and that's undermining you? Yes when you second guess every turn that I make. Kay says that was input. Jill says this is grief. Kay says you deserve it everyday of the week ending in "y" you deserve it. Jill says do you see, do you see how bitter you are? Kay tells her that she resents everything that she ever did because she had it and she didn't. I had plenty of money and plenty of power and a a fabulous man, a fabulous man in love with me. Until he fell in love with you. Phillip loved you in the beginning says Jill until you killed it long before you killed him. Cane has come in about this time and he says that's enough. What is wrong with you two. It's ancient history. You think you screwed up each other's lives well what about me? WHAT ABOUT ME he screams at them? Jill says Sweetheart and Cane fires back and tells Jill I don't want to hear it Mom. I can forgive, I can't forget. Why can't you two? I started this day wanting to learn more about my Father and instead I learned about you (and he points his fingers sort of waves it to be meant for the both of them). So let me give you come advice. Go to his grave, go to church. Why don't you light a candle. Honor the man. The man was my Father. I'm disgusted and he'd be disgusted and so should you two. Jill leaves like she's going to try and catch up with Cane and talk to him. Kay stumbles to a chair and hold her temples and shakes her head as if to shake off some dizziness. She appears to be ill.
Jana spent the whole day trying to inform and prepare Kevin for taking over with the new waitress. They hired someone to replace Jana since this is her first day as the Asst. Curator at the art museum with Sabrina. She even tries to get Gloria to come in and help Kevin if he gets busy. Kevin assures Jana he can handle it and he tells Gloria don't let me talk you into coming in here. This is a not a family owned business kind of mocking Gloria telling Jana it would be worse if his Mother came in. Gloria was waiting on the diamond appraiser to show up and tell her what he stones were worth. And what should happen but Kevin gets slammed at the coffee house. He calls Gloria but the appraiser hasn't shown. Gloria has some fun with Kevin when she picks up the phone and he says he's desperate he's waving the white flag and she reminds him that he made her promise not to work there. He tells her she owes him and she says oh invoking maternal guilt? She tells him she's waiting on the diamond appraiser and he tells her to hurry up. The coffee machine broke down just like Jana tried to tell him it would and what to do. He had told his Mother to promise not to come in and work there is the line was out the door and around the block. But he was slammed and he made the call but he blew it. No more espresso that day, and someone wanting change and someone needing cream and he had not patients for sure after telling Jana he'd run this place alone a long time before she arrived. Jana made him promise to call her or Mom if there was a problem. And he wishes her good luck. Meantime Gloria gets very bad news from her diamond appraiser. Gloria told Kevin one stone was worth 2 million when she bought it. She tells the appraiser the same thing and says it's appreciated and so had the others. Then says so tell me how well did I invest. Kelly says not well. Kelly the appraiser tells Mrs. Bardwell that none of the diamonds were real. Gloria says FAKES? Cubic zirconium. This is not good news for Gloria.
Everyone said goodbye to Daniel. Amber did her best to hold back the tears until he was gone. Danny said she was quite a girl that most would be upset. Amber had suggested a blog that Daniel could post his pictures on and update the tour. Danny was very impressed with her. Jana told Amber she was impressed at how well she was doing. The Universe was testing her. Amber told her she was happy on the outside crying on the inside. Nick told him he had quite the fan club the tour photographer and he wanted to talk to him and Daniel said good he wanted to talk to him too. Amber says his leaving sucks. Phyllis agrees. Daniel tells Nick that his Mother told him. Nick says the missing years are back. Nick tells Daniel that this is a great idea and he should go. He also tells him he's sorry for the way he treated him when Cassie died. Daniel asks Nick to take care of Mom. She's nervous. And Nick said he'd be worried if she wasn't nervous. He tells Daniel to be safe, be smart and see the world and have fun. Danny asks Daniel if he's ready to go and he says almost. Phyllis tells Danny to make sure he eats his broccoli and Danny says don't you think he is a little beyond that. He's a level headed kid. Phyllis says he's about to see drugs, sex and rock and roll. Daniel meantime is talking to Amber and he says I bet you are wishing you were going. Amber tells him the sound he hears is her sucking it up. Daniel tells Amber if she is thinking this might be the beginning of the end for them then she might want to be saying something. Amber nods yes and goes into his arms. They hug and she's still trying to suck it up. Nick makes a comment about how well Phyllis is doing with this whole Daniel leaving matter and she says oh because I am not grabbing onto his leg wailing? I have my smiley face. Amber and Daniel talk about him leaving and Daniel says it's not just him that she will see hot male models at Restless Style and she says she won't check out their stuff. And Daniel says she can check out their stuff. Amber says he can if both his hands are visible at all times. As she walks Daniel out she asks if he will call. He says yes I'll call, email and write until you are tired of hearing from me. Danny says are you ready to roll. Daniel says and Rock. Phyllis tells him no piercings. And if he decides to do body art make sure it says Mom. Daniel says he will do that right next to the one that says Amber. Amber is hugging him and Phyllis cuts in and says lots of hug. Be safe. Amber who has done so well until now says as Daniel gets on the elevator, Daniel is 2 seconds closer to coming home. How sad she misses him already.

Poor Gloria. She got the shock of her life today. One diamond she said was worth 2 million when she bought it and it should have appreciated along with the others. Much to her shock and amazement none of her diamonds are real. Wonder where they went. Does the name Jeffrey Bardwell mean anything to anyone? Should be another blazing battle. I could live without it of course but they don't ask me for my opinion. ha ha

Jack is certainly back to normal and the old Jack Abbot is back he's right. The one who always gets caught trying to one-up someone. Nick made it clear today a couple of times that Jack needed to share his thoughts on the webzine but of course that didn't happen. And Sharon just encourages his very bad behavior. Mocking did you tell Nick about this that's how you got in trouble before. I would think that these two would get it. Sharon seems to love trouble anymore. She's just really into stirring up what she can. Nick told her if it came up on the website without warning Jack's password would change without warning but it just didn't seem to faze Jack or Sharon or slow either of them down. I have no idea where this all ends. Jack told Phyllis that everything had led to them all being here and here was good right now. So he seems happy yet he's going in the back door to undermine them all the time so I know I don't have a clue on this one. I sure do wish them luck. They are going to need it if this keeps up.

Phyllis seemed very relieved when Nick told her he liked the guy he was now more than he liked the guy he was back then and that was because of her. He remembers it all and he still loves Phyllis. He has many regrets and he's been apologizing to everyone all over again. That would be a terrible thing to have happen. Lose your memory and have to relive your childs death and your family breaking up. I felt bad for Nick today. Since he finally has his memory back it will be interesting I think to see if it changes how he acts and reacts to Victor. He has said all along all these things about their Dad and that's just him the way he has always been. And I questioned how did he know that. Was he basing it on what he did remember or what he was told? I am hoping his memory back might help him deal better with Victor. You never know it could help.

Jana spent all day trying to inform and prepare Kevin for the amount of business they have now and he blew her off. He blew off his Mother's help also. He said Gloria would cause more problems. But when he got into trouble what did he do, he called his Mom and tried to get her to help. Gloria sure had some fun with him over telling her earlier not to let him allow her to work there. It was kind of funny to watch hi do exactly what Gloria does when she don't listen and gets herself in a big mess. I realize his helped didn't show up which made it worse and not so much really his fault. But if he had listened to Jana he might have got a clue as to what he could be up against. I'm anxious to see Gloria behind the counter working her heart out. Hey maybe she's experienced slinging hash and can handle this job better than Kevin or Jana. Will be interesting to watch her working at the coffee house.

Daniel is making another movie so he's off for awhile and everyone said their goodbyes today. It was a long drug out affair with many fill scenes. They could have done this in one quick scene but it seemed to go on and on. I like Daniel don't get me wrong and him being gone leaves a void, certainly for Amber since they just got close and committed and all. Hope this don't leave Amber with too much time on her hands and she blows this great relationship with Daniel or worse that Daniel might fall in love with someone else also. I want these two together still so we'll see how the summer goes. Hurry back Daniel we'll miss you.
