| Jack and Luan | MINISTER: Beloved friends and family. Today we are gathered here to celebrate the end of a long, often painful journey, and the beginning of a new and joyous one. Today we unite in marriage two people who made a promise to one another many years ago. A promise kept alive in their hearts and in their prayers, A promise that both feared may never be fulfilled. But truly, miracles do happen. Across thousands of miles, through the passage of two decades, this man and woman have once again found each. Jack and Luan will today pledge themselves to each other for the rest of their lives. They are not the same two people they were when they met over twenty years ago. They are older, hopefully wiser. Their lives have taken paths they could not have imagined. But through it all, the spirit and essence of their love has endured. The challenges and the detours are behind them. Today, we are all fortunate to share in their joy as they exchange their vows in matrimony. JACK: Dearest Luan. My gentle angel, I choose you above all others, to share my life with me, now and forever. I love you and I promise to honor this pledge as long as life and faith endure. As a symbol of this promise, I give you this ring. LUAN: Jack. My kind solider. My love. I choose you above all others, to share my life with me, now and forever. And I promise to honor this pledge as long as there is breath in my body. You have brought me joy I have never known, and I will cherish and love you until my final sunset.
