Happy 4th of July Everyone....Hope You Have A Wonderful Day with Family and Friends!

Storyline 1 A Day at the Ranch with the Newman's

Well if anyone said Happy 4th of July today I may have missed it. Victoria and JT and Reed go to the ranch to have a BBQ and watch fireworks, thinking that Victor and Sabrina are in Boston. Sabrina got sick right after Victor told her about the planned trip and didn't want to go. So they were home but Victoria didn't know that when she called Nick and invited him to come over and party with her family and bring his family of course. Nick reminds Victoria he'd invited her to the RS party at Jack's and she said she wanted to stay put and talks him into coming. Just him since Phyllis sick and she decided to stay with her Mom.

Nick tells Phyllis he's going to handle the party and let her go home because she's so sick. Phyllis is happy about that. Along come Amber and accuses Phyllis of planting that picture of Daniel and the girl on her computer so she'd see it. Phyllis denies it of course. No no no... Phyllis says I don't like her and Nick says no especially when she nails you with the truth about that picture you cropped. Phyllis says no, no. But Nick knows what she did she is lying.

Nick arrives at the ranch and soon after in walks Heather and Adam who are followed by Sabrina and Victor and they are all shocked, especially Adam. Remember Victor told him not to bring that woman (Heather) into his house. Victor is livid when he sees them. He doesn't appear too happy to have any of his old or new family there except Sabrina of course. Victor says he don't remember inviting any of you. Then he asks Adam if he is defying his orders by bringing that woman into his house. Adam says I thought this was my home you invited me to live here. So I assumed it was my home too. Victor tells Adam he assumed too much. Heather says lets leave. Adam says he takes orders at work but this isn't work. Are you defying me in my own home, is that it? Adam says he's blowing it out of proportion. Victor tells Adam you show some respect. Nick tries to break it up by saying Fellows, Fellows come on. Victor snaps at Nick, this doesn't concern you. He stares Adam down and exits. Sabrina looked on helpless. Heather says can we leave now? Adam says yes come on.

Nick looks at JT and Victoria and says this is a sweet party. JT says yes does anyone but me need another drink? Nick raises his hand of course and big old smile.

Sabrina tries to reason with Victor by telling him that maybe Adam likes Heather and that's why he brought her to their house, think of that she says. Victor says to be honest that doesn't impress him in the least. I told him not to bring this woman into my house she accused me of murder and don't you ever forget that. OK says Sabrina but you know I want to mend fences before the baby comes. She says he could start out by the pool where his other kids are and Victor says that doesn't interest him. Sabrina says it's an opportunity for him to start the process and adds don't throw it away.

Victoria is on the phone to Nikki who is working today. Guess that's keeping David off her mind. Victoria tries to convince her to come to the ranch but it's no.

Victor does come outside and visit with the kids and he is setting holding Reed. Sabrina visited with Victoria and Vikki asks her if she is feeling better. Sabrina says yes and you? She mentions how stressed Vikki was and she seems to have forgotten what Sabrina is talking about. Sabrina mentions the Gala and they should meet and she has to remind her about themes and Victoria says I've done this so many times why don't you email me your ideas and I'll get back to you. I think there is something wrong with Victoria at times. Anyway as JT and Victoria see Victor with Reed, had just asked Victoria if her Dad ever thought about anger management and was glad he wasn't directing it at them for a change. Victoria said she was no fan of Adam but then she tells JT look. There sits Victor with Reed. All smiling and happy. Nick and Sabrina at different locations also share this moment. As Victoria is leaving Victor asks Sabrina if she'd like to hold Reed. Sabrina asks Victoria if it's OK and she lets her but she has him like a second and says he needs changed. JT mentions to her later that was hard for her to do and she says it was. She tells him about them dreaming about marrying and having babies when they were friends and JT says so you got what you wanted and she didn't. He says there is still time. Victoria says maybe. Victor and Sabrina had ask JT and Victoria to join them but they said no they wanted to see the fireworks.

Victor has asked about Nikki and he said she chose to work. Victor asks who is keeping David Chow away from her. Nick says he will take care of it. Victor says there is something about Adrian that he doesn't like. He asks about the article on Sabrina and tells Nick to remind Adrian that he (Victor) gets an advanced look at the interview.

Adam tells Heather she's being very tolerant of his Father. Heather says she can take a hit and Adam says she shouldn't have to. Adam lists five things he should stand up to Victor, he's blind, rude, you are great, don't let him push me around and I need to find a new place to live he tells Heather. Heather says there is a number six. Heather says take those five things and delete them and try apologizing.

Sabrina and Victor talk about her holding Reed and Sabrina says that's progress Vikki allowing that and she says there is hope. Victor says yes first she came to our wedding. Sabrina says that makes her happy and Victor says he's happy too. Sabrina says she's going to bed.

Adam comes in as Victor is about to go upstairs and says they need to talk. Victor tells Adam listen to me. Listen to me carefully. Don't you ever forget who I am and who you are. If you do you will be more sorry than you have ever been in your life. This is the last warning I am giving you. Adam just looks at Victor and says nothing. I thought I saw the beginning of the smirk coming but it never broke out completely. Victor stomps off.




Storyline 2 The RS Party at the Abbot Mansion
Well things aren't much more pleasant at the Abbot mansion for sure. One by one the guests arrive. Starting with Gloria and her whole family including Michael, Lauren, Jeff, Jana and Glo herself. Sharon just ask Jack if he told Gloria to be gone and he said he had. Gloria busts in saying since Jack invited her she thought it would mean her whole family. Sharon is floored. Jack too because he didn't invite her. He left her a message that said he was having a party and he needed to talk to her. To tell her not to come. Gloria tells Jack she wants a private chat and she throws John in his face and he tells her finally she can stay but no scenes. Michael and Lauren already said they'd leave but Gloria comes back with Jack and says he said they could stay. Sharon is now upset. Jack never ask her what she thought and he seems to be doing a lot of that lately where Gloria and other things are concerned. Cane arrives with Chloe not far behind. She'd wanted to come together but he told her no. Cane runs into Amber and Amber lies to him about all the pictures and emails and communication she's having with Daniel. Amber is drinking a lot and she comes back into the living room just as Sharon and Jack had their little pow-wow over Gloria and Amber brings her a shot and one for herself. He asks Sharon you aren't going to drink that are you? Sharon looks at Jack back at the glass and tells Amber she's in and slugs it down. Adrian arrives and Colleen of course. Adrian says he didn't expect to see her there and she said she lives there now. He asks what happened with them? And Colleen has no answers. Gloria has become the food tour guide and is making a fool out of herself. A bee lands on Chloe and she sprays bug spray on Chloe who is standing over the food. Jeffrey remarks later he can still taste it. Michael asks her why she didn't hire a crop duster. Michael and Gloria and Lauren chat after Lauren notices her ring and asks what's that on your finger. She says they wanted to wait until after the fireworks but they are married again. Michael thinks she's disturbed and Lauren thinks she's crazy. Gloria says there are happy. She married him for his money and she's rich. Michael says she's happy and rich to Lauren who is not impressed for sure. Jack's on the phone with someone that tells him what information he has lead right to Sabrina Newman. Jack tells him to double check it and get back to him. He can't have any mistakes. It has to be bulletproof. Amber and Adrian continue to booze it up and Colleen keeps one eye on them. She is not happy about it but she's not with Adrian anymore. Amber tells Jana that Daniel never writes, emails, texts or calls her. She don't need him. Jana says yes you do, you love him. Amber tells Jana about the picture on Phyllis' computer with the girl so close it was like spray on tan. Amber says she does yes but she needs him. Jana is worried Amber will be with Adrian and Amber says Adrian is just a friend, an old friend. Chloe and Cane catch Jack and tell him to he needs to use Lily for his up scale campaign and Chloe does a good job with the push and Cane is impressed. Michael tells Sharon she is a co-conspirator to Gloria and that his Mother is certifiable. Sharon says why and Michael says you have her living here. Sharon corrects Michael and says you really want to know why she is living here? Amber continues to drink and her and Adrian are very playful with each other. Colleen says what are they doing. Jana says having fun.

Jack gets everyone's attention and makes a big speech about his vision and his dream for RS. He ends the speech with the best is yet to come. Nick arrives at the party about this time. He'd gone by Victor's place first. He is not happy with what he is hearing from Jack. It's all about Jack.Now Sharon made a phone call to someone and told them to get there as soon as they can. Or maybe they called her but that's what I heard her say so it could have been Nick she talked to. Nick gives him crusty's and then later confronts him about his I have a vision, I see the future speech for the magazine. Jack says sorry and Sharon tells him it sounded bad it really did. Nick says Jack what is wrong with you? We've been over this time and time again? Jack says you weren't here Nick. Nick says that's not excuse. Jack says I apologize it's not like I am harbouring some secret desire to rule the magazine. Nick says what's your excuse today? Jack says he was personalizing it to our advertisers. Nick says that's why you included Sharon? Nice try says Nick. Sharon tries to break it up by saying there were lots of people there Nick hadn't met and she could introduce him. Nick says no he's going to talk to Michael right now. Jack mutters I got carried away excuse me. Nick does talk to Michael but not about anything earth shattering. Amber comes along and cries to Nick about Phyllis and the picture she left on her computer. Nick tells her she will have to talk to Phyllis about that. Amber is now trashed. And tries to leave and does and Adrian follows her with Colleen watching. Cane decides to leave so Chloe fakes a bee sting on her foot and tells Cane she knows what to do she needs ice but she can't drive and would he take her. He drives her in her car. The gas gauge is broken and they run out of gas. They have no cell service either. Cane says can you walk and Chloe says no. She says welcome to the Boonies. Gloria says she can't wait to see the fireworks and Jeffrey says they will. They are making their own and they romp on the bed. Amber and Adrian drunk go to RS. Adrian says is it hot in her or is it you? They laugh. Adrian tells Amber she's fantastic. Amber tells him he's a gentleman, kind, funny, sweet and cute. Adrian says yes we are a couple of keepers. Adrian tells Amber her eyes are unforgettable. Amber says he's seen them up close before. Amber says that's a night she will never forget. Colleens an idiot she adds. Daniel's a fool says Adrian. And they are kissing now....

Nick tells Jack he knows what he's doing . Jack says what is it now Nick. I believe I've already apologized. After the damage is done yet again says Nick. We just had a very successful party says Jack. Some were here from the beginning to the end he adds. Nick tells Jack, listen to me. If I have one more advertiser walk up to and tell mention your vision well I'm gonna.....he trails off and tells Jack he's just going to let him finish that sentence Partner. Sharon's turn to chew on Jack now. She says I thought you said you could work with our partners because that's really not what I saw today. Jack says our partners were not here to work with. I'll be better I will says Jack when Sharon gives him the look. Tomorrow morning all anyone will remember is that they had a good time and we'll have another million in advertising sales. Sharon says it's not what you say Jack, it's what you do.

Jack gets another phone call about Sabrina and it's been confirmed that it traces right back to Sabrina Newman. Jack says Sabrina Newman in a scandal. Jack says here is what you do you back up your files and cover your tracks. I'll be in touch with you next time. Thanks. Then Jack smiles and gloats and says out loud to nobody Thank You.

Previews: Nick to Jack: That was a Phillipe Chandareau (spelling sorry) x-boyfriend of Sabrina's??? (Jack looks shifty).

Phyllis to Amber: I sort of had the wrong impression when I walked in here and saw you with Adrian, right? (Amber looks none too happy with Phyllis). (Phyllis looks like I got you).

Victoria to Sabrina: Does he know you had an affair with Fellipe? Sabrina to Victoria: I don't understand why you are sking me all of that? (Sabrina now looks stressed) (Victoria well she looks concerned and maybe a little gotcha).

Romance Recap Honestly there is no romance going on but Amber and Adrian did appear to be heating up the couch at Restless Style when the show went off today.

OK then there was Gloria and Jeffrey finally making the marriage legal today also.

Oh and while nothing happened there was that matter of Cane and Chloe being stranded out in the middle of no place.

Young and Restless character history

Colleen is the daughter of Brad Carlton and Traci Abbott Connolly. When Colleen returned to Genoa City as a rebellious young teen in 2001, she began to develop a marijuana habit. She gave up the drug, when her carelessness nearly resulted in the death of her half-sister, Abby, whom she was supposed to be babysitting.

Colleen soon maked friends with local girls Lily Winters and Sierra Hoffman, and began a romance with older rebel JT Hellstrom. At first, Colleen's family was wary of J.T. as he has a bad track record with women, but they eventually accepted the relationship. When Lily began dating Kevin Fisher, Colleen told her parents when the relationship beacme sexual, which is statutory rape. In retaliation, Kevin trapped Colleen in Gina Roma's restaurant and started a fire. Colleen survived, and remained distrustful of Kevin, who expertly hid his crimes.

In 2004, Colleen left Genoa City for New York because she feels she is getting in the way of J.T.'s budding music career. She returned in early 2006 expecting to reunite with him, but he had moved on with Mackenzie Browning. She was also shocked to learn that Kevin had now been accepted by most of the community, Lily included.

After Mac left town, Colleen and J.T. reconciled. She was soon devastated by the death of her grandfather John Abbott, who died of a massive stroke. She was further rocked by the revelation that her father had assumed the name of Brad Carlton, and is in fact the son of Holocaust survivor and art historian Rebecca Kaplan. The majority of the Kaplan family had been killed because Rebecca had made it her life's work to return artwork stolen by the Nazis.

Following her grandmother's lead, Colleen began to study art history in college under a professor named Adrian Korbel. It became apparent to both that this is more than a student/teacher relationship, much to the chagrin of the Kaplans, who are still in hiding, and her boyfriend J.T. Colleen used Professor Korbel's knowledge to help solve the mystery of the Grudgeon Reliquary, the artifact that lead to the Kaplan family's murder. Despite her family's objections and a growing possibility that Korbel was involved in the murder of Newman Enterprises executive Carmen Mesta, Colleen and Adrian made love on Valentines Day. The Colleen and Adrian pairing (referred to by fans as "Cadrian") quickly gained a large fanbase.
After the tryst, Colleen went to get some water and finds Carmen's drivers license and some pink hair extensions and a necklace belonging to missing barista Jana Hawkes. After running out of his home, Colleen was knocked out and taken to a room where Jana appeared to be trapped as well. Jana tells her that Adrian is a murderer, and that he has an accomplice as well. After Colleen tells her of his involvement in the reliquary mystery and how to solve its code, Jana is taken from the room after offering to exchange the information for her freedom. After Jana managed to lure Kevin into the room, Jana reveals to the two enemies that she faked her death and killed Carmen Mesta, who knew of her earlier theft of art related documents. Jana and her father wanted the reliquary for themselves, and with Colleen's information, she believed they could have it. In an attempt to cover her tracks, Jana set the building on fire in order to frame Kevin, her boyfriend, making it appear to be a reprisal of his original attempt on Colleen's life. As both Colleen and Kevin are succumbing to the smoke, J.T. and Adrian managed to save them both. When Colleen recovers, she cleared Kevin's name and the two tentatively forgave each other.

After breaking up with J.T., Colleen tried to start a relationship with Adrian, but her family and J.T. threw up several roadblocks. After Adrian nearly lost his job, they attempted to feign a break-up and continue to see each other, but Sharon Abbott discovered them and tells Brad (despite assuring Colleen that she would not). As a result, Brad cut his daughter off financially, though Colleen soon overcame this obstacle with a loan from her uncle, Jack Abbott.

After helping Kevin track down Jana for revenge, Colleen left to stay with her mother for a while. She returned two weeks later and made up with Adrian, with whom she had had a fight shortly before she left.

In June of 2008, Colleen decided to brake it off with Adrian. The couple had had a bad fight over Adrian's un-published book. Once Colleen returned from China, she informed Adrian that they were finished.

Young and Restless character history:

Gloria is the widow of cosmetics tycoon John Abbott, as well as the widow of lawyer William Bardwell. (Coincidentally, she is married to William's twin brother Jeffrey as of January 2008.) She is also the mother of half-brothers Michael Baldwin and Kevin Fisher.

In the beginning Gloria married her husbands John Abbott and William Bardwell for their money, but eventually developed real feelings for both of her rich husbands. Her actions have got her in a lot of trouble, having to get her two sons Michael and Kevin to get her out of the trouble. But Gloria keeps getting her self back into trouble.

Gloria Fisher moved to Genoa City from Detroit in 2004, to spend some time with her sons Kevin and Michael. Shortly after arriving in town, she met and began dating John Abbott, the wealthy founder of Jabot Cosmetics; the two were soon married, much to the concern of John's daughter, Ashley, who suspected her new stepmother was a gold-digger, and became obsessed with breaking up her father's marriage. Ashley began digging into Gloria's past, and eventually discovered that Gloria had indeed not been entirely honest with John. She made the shocking discovery - that Gloria was the mother of Kevin Fisher, who had tried to kill John's granddaughter and her niece, Colleen, and also Michael Baldwin, the lawyer who had helped Victor Newman to send Jabot into bankruptcy. John eventually forgave Gloria for not revealing her past; he also came to forgive Kevin (who would later save John's life, after a fall) and Michael, both of whom came to regard John as more of a father figure than their own biological fathers.

When Gloria's abusive ex-husband, Tom Fisher, returned to town, he began to blackmail Gloria (paying him not to reveal that they were still legally married). When John learned all of this, he shot Tom dead, before having a heartattack himself.
John survived, but couldn't remember shooting Tom. For fear that he would have another attack if he remembered, Ashley covered for him, pleading guilty to Tom's murder. John eventually recalled the night of the shooting, and came forward that it was he, not his daughter, who shot Tom. He was sentenced to seven years in prison, but before being sentenced, John, knowing of Jack and Ashley's feelings about Gloria, gave her his Jabot proxy.

Throughout Gloria and John's "marriage", Jack and Ashley were never fond of her, which caused Gloria to go out of her way to prove herself a worthy member of the Jabot company. She went so far as to poison a batch of a new facial cream that Ashley had developed, GloAgain, so she could later "discover" the faulty product and save the company. This backfired when samples of GloAgain were sent out before Gloria could implement her plan and caused injuries to various people (including Abby Carlton, who ended up in the hospital). The death of a woman named Emma Gibson, which appeared to be related to her exposure to the tainted GloAgain, led to a lawsuit which hurt Jabot and caused Jack to be fired (though it later was determined the death might have been from other causes, unrelated to Jabot). Other than Kevin and Michael (who both kept their mother's secret), no one has learned of Gloria's part in this.

In August 2006, Michael succeeded in getting the Wisconsin Governor to commute John's sentence to time served (allowing him to get out of prison), but tragically, before he could be released, he suffered a massive stroke, and was admitted to Memorial Hospital. Uncontrolled bleeding in his brain caused John to slip into a coma from which he would not reemerge. His neurologist informed the Abbotts of a DNR order John had previously signed. Gloria and Jack fought bitterly over this, Jack wanting to honor his father's wishes, and Gloria wanting to keep John on life support in the hope that he could somehow be revived. Eventually Gloria relented, and John was allowed to die. However, John's death did not ease the animosity between Gloria and John's children. The battle between Gloria and John's children, especially Jack, has escalated, mainly with the fact that Gloria and her family are slated to receive half of John's estate.

The only sibling that she really has little, if any, animosity with, was Jack's youngest sister, Traci, and this is because of her work as a writer and that she lives in New York, most of the time, and isn't always aware of what is going on with her family.

To add more insult to injury, it was discovered that John's attorney, due to health problems, hadn't filed the marriage license for John and Gloria, revealing that she and John were not legally married. What's worse, a handwritten will turned up, basically leaving all of John's assets with his children; leaving Gloria and her family without a cent. A judge ruled that the second will was valid, and as such, Gloria as left disinherited.

However, Katherine Chancellor and Jill Abbott had promoted Gloria as Jabot's vice president of Creative Affairs, as she has been casting more than a casual eye on district attorney William Bardwell who had recently inherited a fortune due to his uncle's death. This caused unexpected trouble between her and Jill, who was also enamored of Mr. Bardwell. Although she claimed that she would always love John, she quickly shed her widow's weeds and was already on her way to her next conquest.

Gloria eventually married William, who then discovered the truth about Gloria and the face cream. However, he then suffered a stroke, and was taken to hospital. After holding him against his will and eventually admitting she would turn herself in (due to Will finding out about the tainted Glo-Again face cream), William Bardwell succumb to his stroke and died July 18, 2007. After William died he inherited his uncle's money, fifty million dollars, and the money went to Gloria, William's then-wife.

Gloria planned a remembrance party for William, where his identical twin brother Jeffrey arrived. Jeffrey later presented Gloria with a box of mementos that William sent him before he died. The box also contained a jar of the contaminated face cream. Gloria then became convinced that Jeffrey knew of her crime.

While being suspicious of Jeffrey, Gloria couldn't resist getting even with Jack for all the pain he caused her so she and Kevin released video footage of Jack admitting he illegally owned Jabot after the cream contamination. Michael and Lauren were furious after learning of this and Jack, Katherine, and Jill all became suspicious of Gloria and Kevin's involvement. Both Gloria and Jill decided to get revenge on Jack by testifying against him at his Senate hearing. Once she received a letter written to her by John before he died, Gloria read it to the Senate committee and it was revealed that Jack had indeed tricked his father into changing the will.

Gloria reveled in her newfound wealth with both John and William's money and continued her game of cat-and-mouse with Jeffrey. After convincing him to give her the cream as a remembrance of William, Gloria discovered that it was a fake. She then decided to "semi-seduce" him in an effort to get close enough to get the real cream. However, once inside his hotel room, she discovered an old letter from William to Jeffrey say "Don't let her get away with it." With the help of an excuse from Kevin, she left but became even more worried. To get Jeff's suspicions off of her she decided to badmouth Jill and have him focus on her as the culprit. Jeffery then tested the cream on himself and was burned himself, resulting in him confronting Gloria as the true culprit. Gloria tried to play it off, but Jeffrey wasn't convinced. He then blackmailed Gloria into agreeing to marry him or he would turn her in to the police.

He became even more anxious once he discovered she would also be getting her inheritance from John Abbott. In order to rid herself of Jeffrey, Gloria tried several attempts, such as digging up dirt on him, paying him off, and trying to turn all her dollars into jewelry that would be hidden. All of these attepmts failed as Jeff was always one step ahead, partly because he was having Gloria followed.

Gloria then hatched another plan to rid of Jeffrey, by framing Jeffrey for her attempted murder--and, to that end, she finally agreed to marry him. They eloped and were married in Las Vegas. Gloria then decided to stage her "death" in a huge mansion: the Abbott house, which she decided to take from Jack. After the judge declared that she had the right to move in, Jack and Sharon refused to leave. However, Gloria moved in anyway with an army load of hideous furniture and various annoying moves to drive the out. Unbeknowst to Gloria, Jeffrey had implanted a spy camera in the mansion and quickly discovered her and Kevin's plot to frame him. Meanwhile, Jack and Sharon became increasingly suspicious of their "marriage." As their various games continued, Jeff began to side with Jack and Sharon in wanting him and Gloria to move out on the agreement that they sell their portion. They then hired an actor look-alike of John named Alistair to scare Gloria out of the house. Gloria actually believed John's spirit was huanting her until Lauren saw him also. It wasn't long before Michael figured out what the three were up to and threatened to sue them due to Lauren's falling down the stairs after she was frightened by the fake John. Jack and Sharon then gave up the battle and gave Gloria the mansion. Unfortunately for Gloria, her sons had grown tired of all her schemes and decided not to help her anymore until she acted more mature. Meanwhile, to her chagrin, Gloria began developing real feelings for Jeffrey, but that was quickly interrupted when his Korean girlfriend Kyon came to town and locked Gloria in the wine cellar of the Abbott house while she attempted to get Jeffrey back. Gloria was then rescued by Allistair and threw Jeffrey out of the house saying she never wanted to see him again. Realizing that she was all alone, Gloria decided to let go and give Jack and Sharon back the house and made amends with her sons. Everyone was suspicious of her sudden change of heart, especially when she insisted Michael drop his suit against Jack for Lauren falling down the stairs. Meanwhile, she continued to struggle with her feelings for Jeffrey by trying to make him jealous while flirting with Alistair.

Gloria, influenced by Jana and her beliefs in karma, decided to turn her life around and gave the mansion back to Jack. Gloria and Jeff began to realize they really were actually attracted to each other even after all their feuding and blackmailing. They had one hot night together, but misunderstandings and refusal to admit they cared led to Jeffrey filing for divorce and asking for half her net worth as a settlement. Meanwhile Gloria was still trying to offset her karma and made legal arrangements to donate half her assets to charity as the Marksalogria Charitable Foundation (which is an algorithm for meaning Gloria's Karma). So if Jeff received the other half in their divorce settlement, and Gloria was left penniless! Even her diamond stash turned out to be fake.

The Fishers were celebrating Michael's first Father's Day, when Michael insisted Gloria tell him more about his own father, Lowell Baldwin. The way Gloria tells it, she was a naive 15 year old living in Detroit when she met the handsome and charismatic Lowell in Ann Arbor where he was attending college on scholarship at the University of Michigan. Michael had been reading the remains of his grandmother's diary, and recalled her disappointment at Lowell's disinterest in his education after falling for "that young Detroit girl". Gloria added that Lowell dropped out of college and became a hippie driving a school bus for a living, getting into drugs and booze. Gloria discovered she was pregnant with Michael about the time Lowell got drafted and fled to Canada. Rather than raise an infant in a commune, she let him go alone and never saw him again. She guiltily admitted that they had never been married after all. Thanks to Paul's investigation, Paul located a River Baldwin wanted for murder after setting up a bombing of a bank as a leader with the 60's terrorist group The Weatherman. He had the same social security number as Lowell, and was also born in New Orleans. Records also showed that a Gloria Simmons got him out on bail. Gloria responded to Michael's confrontation that Lowell used her, convinced her he was innocent, and disappeared after she bailed him out, leaving her and Michael. Michael is now having second thoughts about finding his long lost father.


Influenced by his concience in the form of John again, Jack relented and allowed Gloria to live in the Abbott pool house. After trying her hand and failing at waitressing at Crimson Lights and sales clerking for Lauren at the Glow By Jabot Boutique, she begged Kay for her job back and was given the Jabot Receptionist job instead. When Jeffrey realized how low Gloria had sunk, he made another attempt to reconcile with no more playing tricks and misunderstandings. After one hot night together, Gloria accused him of somehow stealing her diamonds, (which he probably did) and Jeff is mad at her again. Jill came on hot & heavy to Jeff seducing him in her office chair, but it wasn't long before he finally realized that the woman he wanted was Gloria. Jeff broke it off with Jill, and Jill took it out on the new receptionist Gloria, treating her like a slave. Jeff returned to Gloria and asked to start over together. Gloria went along with it half-heartedly until they made love again. Then Jeff coaxed her to his place, showed her 50 million in cash to frolic in, asked her to remarry him, and they eloped to Las Vegas with a wedding featuring Little Richard.

I just got back from Iraq and Afganistan and was
appalled at what has happened on the Y&R show over the past several years FIRST of all the
death of Cassie which was stupid and foolish, Second the rewarding of wealth and prestige to Gloria, Kevin and Michael after all of their criminal
acts, Third the marriage of Nick to Phyllis and Jack to Sharon where there is no chemistry in any of those marriages, Fourth the fact the Lily cannot find anybody her age and why she does not like to date good black guys, Fifth why Neal is not given a more vivid plot where he can get from other the wings of Victor who only promotes him when his family is in tumoil and then takes back his promotion once his family is in good standing again and last of all why Amber who is very talented is not given a plot where she can explore her singing abilities. Am I the only one one the Y&R Fans who is not Brain Dead and who is not Gullible WAKE UP Y&R FANS

I am sooo sick of everyone hating on Nick and Phyliss. Life goes on, people and relationships change. I understand that there are some old timers with the show that want everything back to how it was but be real...who can say their life is exactly as it was 5, 10, or even 15 years ago. Leave Nick and Phyliss alone. Jack and Sharon actually work well together...especially when they are fighting to get rid of Gloria, who, by the way...NEEDS TO GET CAUGHT FOR ALL HER DIRTY DEEDS!...and soon please!


I actually enjoy Cain and Lily as a couple. As for Amber Moore, she needs to go back to Furnace Creek. I didn't like her on B & B and definetly do not like her on Y & R. I find her stories boring, like other readers I fast forward through hers. FINALLY, I'm so happy that Danny R Sr is not back on a permanent basis. There is just something about that man (michael damion) that I don't like.







I THINK Y&R IS GREAT BUT I AM SICK OF THE GROWTH SPURTS..I KNOW THEY NEED MORE DRAMA BUT AT LEAST NOAH IS STILL A CHILD AND NOT IN COLLEGE YET. I HAVE NOT SEEN SUMMER LATELY BUT I AM GUESSING SHE IS MUCH BIGGER TOO. I THINK THEY SHOULD HAVE KEPT OLIVIA AFTER DRU DIED THEN THEY COULD HAVE BROUGHT BACK LIL NATE. BUT STILL I THINK HE WOULD HAVE BEEN SMALLER BECAUSE THEY STILL SEEM TO BE UNABLE TO WRITE GOOD STORYLINES FOR THE AFRICAN AMERICAN ACTORS ON THAT SHOW. KRISTOFF IS GREAT BUT YOU CAN TELL AT TIMES ON HIS FACE THAT HE LOOKS BORED.



Writers pay attention to what we are all saying we need something new and exciting. You also need to find couples that aren't 30 years different in age, come on bring in some new blood and make it work. Only new couple that even comes close is Amber and Daniel in age and realisticly she is a lot older than him. Victor and Sabrina come on that's just to much. Love my Y&R but don't know whats happened to the best Soap on TV.

I'm so tired of the Gloria storyline additions. Does this storyline ever end? Come on we don't need the Korean girlfriend now. Just get on with it. You had a good start on finishing it up and then had to add a new twist. I am sick of this storyline that never ends? Give us a Gloria break.



Are you freakin kidding me? I have not watched Y&R since Cassie died. I am so enraged at the current story lines. Why is Gloria still around? Why does Amber act so dense? She had fire and spunk, what happened? Cassie seems so out of place. Killing Dru was a big mistake. Why is Victor dating someone young enough to be his grandchild? Been caught up for the last two weeks (reruns, websites...etc) the stories seem watered down and desperate. I see I haven't missed much. WRITERS, if you are out there please take heed, check out some of the old storylines and fire up some new drama. That is what we want. By the way....like the whole Nick and Phyllis thing.


I, too, am sick of all of the story lines. None are going anywhere and the show is getting to be a drag, yet again. I would think that someone would get a clue and try to turn things around while there is an opportunity. Nikki and David is the worst, closely followed by Victor and Sabrina...........and then there is Victoria going to Jabot and everyone jumping ship..............Actually, Nick and Phyllis are the most stable in my mind at the moment.

I think Dru should come back on January 1,2008.
I think everyone who is in the Y&R should all get together on Christmas or New Years eve!!!!! So that everyone can get along better then before!!!!

I understand that the writers are still on strike I think 1/24/08...But could you finish something!!!! We have been watching the same story lines since before thanksgiving!!!!!! Please do us a favor and wrap something up!!!!!! Let us know something!!!! I really wish Lane got more screen time. I love this couple. Lily & Cane need to be able to spend time together outside of work. I love them at jabot and they are so loving and happy together but I want more! They really are a beautiful couple and I can't wait to see what happens next with them...as long as they are together, Lane fans are happy!		 Victor needs a taste of his own medicine and Victoria needs to wake up before we forget about her. Heather is a b***ch and Daniel can teach her a lesson. Just leave my girl Phyllis alone she is making up for lost time with Nick. Sharon ain't no saint and she is still a slut and I bet her and Brad's sneaky behinds are going to sleep 2gether again. Gloria better not marry that man and find some juicy way out of it she has a lot of tricks up her sleeve and both her sons are smart. Lily needs to stop whinning and grow up and she should have no problem railing Cane in. Does Cane have something to do with GMen's death? I will end this here because I can go on and On.
I think that Phyllis should ask to see Summer's paternity test results -- that little girl could be Jack's --not Nick's -- after all, Nick is the only one who really saw the test results. What a surprise?? that would be, eh.

I agree with the above! Then Nick and Sharon can get back together. I love Jack, but I dont think Sharon is for him. As for the comments on the right - yeah, were did Carson go? Vicky's comma makes me want to go into a comma and Jana needs to be killed off. I liked the old Colleen and agree, this one needs to be sent to some far away place. I love Victor, but c'mon-I would NEVER stand for his crap and let him talk to me the way he does to Niki. They should have emphasized his affairs over the years and all his wrong doings. And I hope that once Gloria gets all cozy in Jack's home, she is exposed and taken away to rot in jail and Jack gets everything, even Jabott back. This show needs some serious help. I have reached beyond the frustration point as I wait and wait for Lauren and michael to get a story line. It is beyond my imagination why the writers cannot or will not utilize such talented people as Christian LeBlanc and Tracey Bregman.How many more Emmys must Christian get to prove what a tealented and wonderful actor he is. The wonderful chenmistry of Laurena nd Michael is way beyond what any other couple has now on this show..They are beauiful together their love is wholesome and caring..I am so sick of the dirty dog sexlife that has been on display and watching that old dog Victor take up all the screen time is utterly rediculous time an d time again. Y and R should be change dot the Newman Hour...Dont even get me started on Jeff and Glo..eeekkk..Gloria has taken over . I miss the way Michael used to have control of everything and now the old hag has it all..Give us our Mikey we sooooo miss this handsome sexy man..What I want to know is WHERE THE HELL IS MICHAEL AND LAUREN . Why has the Newman Clan hogged every time slot on Y and R. I dont mind other people being on but lets get more balance..I have boycotted along with several of my friends since Feb. 22 2008 and will continue to do so until Likey is brought back on..SOME BLANCE PLEASE WRITER. Where is Lane? I really miss them. They aren't on enough. Please give them more scenes for Lane fans to enjoy. I keep falling asleep with all the Newmans on. 		There are too many dangling storylines going on at once. Where is Carson? Who is after David? Vicky's coma scenes boringgg! Karen and Neil, on off on off. Jana and her crazy self. If Lily is a woman, act like one instead of some teeny bopper. And get rid of Collen, send her with Korbel to some ancient country!
What happened to the Plum case? In cold storage no doubt.

I love the idea of Summer being an Abbot too. I always thought Phyllis belonged with Jack who is more her equal. Nick and Sharron were best together. And as far as Victor and Niki go I want them back together but I want it done with lots of great storey twitsts. They remain for me the core of this show. Love the new Vic jr casting. He is terrific and I'd like to see him be very big on family just like his dad. He and Victoria would make a great bond and maybe she can be the ultimake bridge between him and Nick. However I don't want that to happen too fast as I think the NIck/Adam rivalry could be a great on going storey line as I think that tension really rings true to me.
I'm disappointed in the David Chow charachter - I loved him in GL but he never seemed to fit in at Y & R - - so they need to pin Ji-Min's murder on him and send him away. I'm a fan of Sharon & Nick - they used to look at each other like they loved each other. When they were in the middle of one of their problems, the longing they had for the other felt more real. Phylis just appeared like she wanted to be jumped. However, Phylis and Jack were very good together. Victor and Nikki have always been awesome but it's time Vic got with the times and treated his wife like a partner and not Miguel. Jack needs to write Gloria a check and maybe she'll put a sock in it! I love Lauren & Michael together but he needs to keep his butt out of legal slings! Even though the old Colleen spoke softly, so does Brad so it made sense. She was much better w/Korbel - now that whole thing lost it's zing. Too bad. Although I miss Victoria Rowell, I like Neil and Karen. And Lily, grow the hell up! If you want to go after on very hot man like Cane, act like a woman! Y & R is still my favorite - it just needs a little shoring up... I love the idea that Summer Newman should be Summer Abbott!

I'm glad that Dru isn't here fluttering her feathers around like some crazy chicken! She always had to be the center of attention,
wanting everyone to notice her when she flocked into a room!

I loved VI on GL too but you are right his character here isn't working, at least not with NIki, who should be moved back into Victors orb. where the two of them can become passionate rivals in business and eventually reunite as passionate and loveing joint heads of the family.

Maybe they can pair VI up with some one else on the shoe.

I hope the new Sabrina charactor doesn't disapoint.		 I just love the Lily & Cane romance! It has been frustrating seeing that it took forever for them to finally get to the point where they realize their feelings are just too strong and they could never just be friends! I am THRILLED that Cane has now promised Lily to never hurt her!

Lane finally kissed!!! Oh how it was so worth the wait! Thses two have so much chemistry and the reason so many fans have got hooked on them is because there isn't much romance these days! It has been refreshing to see a couple that has had many of us hanging on their every word and melt with the intense stares across the room at one another! Lane can be in a room w/ 100 people and all they see is one another!! Thank you writers for finally giving them a chance to go out on a date for goodness sakes it took long enough!

I can't wait for Lily & Cane to use the "L" word! OMG, Lane fans will need some on site medical assistance when that happens! This is my favorite couple on television! I can't wait for them to take the next step in this fantastic relationship! This is so exciting! :)
Please put Lily & Cane on! I just started watching this show and am like blown away with the passion they have from each other even across the room! WHy are we punished with Amber? She is too unreal for me. Lily and i are close to the same age and i can so relate to her. I never date guys my age because it takes forever for guys to mature! I was shocked when i read she was married to Daniel! Geeze, who wouldn't go with the hunk with an accent that adores her? I planned my classes this semester to where myfirends and I could watch Y&R and now it is looking like this was a waste of time. I have never really watched soaps before and I still don't lke the other people but Cane and Lily are amazing! Please bring them back and let us see them become official! I hope this is resolved soon. I am missing them. Gloria! What a whack job here. Although I do get a laugh out of her and Jeffrey. At least not everyone is still hammering on Phyllis.
Someone needs to do an extensive background check on Cane. Afterall, he just happened to be in Genoa City, where his Mum and very rich Gramaw lives. He is playing cat and mouse games with Lily and now she is " falling in love " with Cane. They haven't really dated, just kissed here and there. I am so happy Lily and Cane are finally being honest about their feelings. Cane is such a gentleman always caressing her and being sweet to her. He is a very handsome man and she is pretty and exotic looking. I would love to see these to become a couple for many years to come. It would be something to such a unique couple make it in a drams series. Most interracial couples don't. I like my dramas mainly GH, but these two caught my eye in the drama magazine my granddaughter gives me. How nice it is to see something so fresh and romantic. On my old show they broke up the one interesting couple they had. I wish my late husband could have seen a couple like this. Maybe he would have been easier on our daughter. I applaud you Young and Restless. You took me from my old show with these young folk. I don't want them living together before marriage though. They will have pretty babies, like my grandbabies. The time has come for something new.

I totally agree with the person basck from afganistan it is a disgrace what they are doing to the show they need to get rid of gloria and william. We need to see more of paul and his two women and yes they should never have killed off cassie and please break up nick and phyliss. Make her baby truly Jacks because I feel nick lied about the paternity as he was hurting over Cassie. 		^OMG, that is such a touching post. I LOVE Lane that is just Lily & Cane together and I think theyare a beautiful couple and the race thing doesn't matter. I like how they look at each other and can't stand to be away from each other. They tried and failed miserably! All I want right now is less Amber and Gloria. I am not a Phick fan at all but Phyllis was locked up for far less than these two lame brains! It's time for either Jeffrey or David to be J'min's murderer. They both wanted money, found out J'Min had some, and killed him for it. And Victor needs to go make another movie 'cause he's just gettng too nasty. Maybe this Hope thing will take him away for a while. He's too much of a hypocrite; OK for him to be unfaithful, not Nicki; OK for him to keep secrets, but no one else. Also time to demote Gloria to a secondary character, please; there's just too much of her. A lot of characters usually disappear from Y&R in the springtime; maybe she can be one of them. Whose minding the Boutique?? Did Lily and Amber quit their jobs.Where's Finn and Summer? Is that a wig Daniels wearing?..its awful

there is so much here to absorb I'm not sure where to start. Ok David Chow, I agree with most of the negative comment that have been made about him. I don't think he fits in this show. However PLEASE, lets stop repeating the past. Half the fun of a story is that it opens up opportunities for some thing new. I want to see Niki with a nice guy for a change who's not going to screw her over like Victor did so many times and like David Chow is now. Let the writers think of new problems for them. For the same reason I don't think any body should be going back to anybody. Lets come up with something new and different and fresh. I am really disapointed in the Sabrina character. She's very affected, even stilted, posey. Recast someone younger and more natural or get rid of her.

I have been a fan for years. My DVR only records this show. I love the idea of Lily and Cane. If Lily does not marry Cane, I WILL. I really hope they work out as a couple and parents. It would be nice if Dru came back. If John Abbott can return, then so can Dru. I hate Victor and Sabrina. I also do not like David Chow. I would not be opposed to some new, rich guy coming in a sweeping Nikki off her feet.




I think the Newman family should have a family reioun. You need to show some evidence that Dru is alive or dead please sow it in2 to 4 weeks 1month at the latest.

Storyline 1 Nikki
Where do I start again today. David has left Nikki. Nikki is not happy. She thinks they can fix things together with therapy and Rehab and all that stuff. David is dumping her for her own good. Nikki doesn't get this. David tells her over and over again. You have to let me go. The decision is mine not yours. I'm poison says David. David tells Nikki she don't have a clue as to why he's leaving her but it's for her own good. She tells David she still loves him and she's standing by him. David tells Nikki it's over and you need to get that through your head. Nick and Victoria have arrived to see what it was that had Nikki so upset. She explains that not only is David gambling again, he's left her. He's upstairs getting his bags. When he comes down he tells Nikki they are moving his bags to another room. Nick says it's not good enough. Why don't you get your bags and get the hell out of here Nick asks. David comes back later and tells Nikki he's made other arrangements. Nick asks what that means? David tells Nick lets gets something straight here. I am leaving your Mother for her sake. Nikki says but it's not what I want. David tells Nikki that someday she will thank him. Victor is on the phone behind them seeing all this play out. Victor says hello to them and says he saw David leave with his suitcases. Nikki tells Victor that David is going on a business trip. Victor says on the 4th of July? Nick jumps in and says It's only a holiday in America. Victor says I see and says goodnight. Nick tells Nikki he's going to find out eventually and Nikki says she knows. Victor didn't really hear anything but later he goes to see Nick at Restless Style over it. Victor tells Nick that something is going on with his Mother. Nick wants to know why he cares. Victor says he wouldn't be there is he wasn't concerned about his Mother. Nick asks Victor why he can't just take her word. Victor said he was married to Nikki long enough to know when she is really upset and she is. Nick says why do you still care? What do you mean says Victor what do you mean? She is the Mother of two of my children. Nick tells Victor he divorced her and he needs to learn to give up control. Victor says stop with the control stuff. He's sick and tired of hearing it he sounds like a broken record. Victor tells Nick I am telling you that I am concerned about your Mother. She is in trouble. I feel it I sense it. Nick tells Victor it's their business not yours. Victor tells Nick if he wants to keep his Mother safe he better make it his business. Nick says if Mom needs anything I'll take care of it. Victor says, Son, don't say I didn't warn you. David Chow is a dangerous. I feel it in my bones. Paul joins Nikki and tells her that friends look out for each other and that he's there for her. And he's not going to ask what is wrong. Nikki says he always shows up when she needs him. Paul says he's not sure what is going on but the bonus is that he's not going to pry. Nikki thanks him and Paul adds but it's not easy for a private investigator. Paul says he's going to be honest and he's sorry that she's hurting. But he quickly adds he's not sorry that David is out of her life. Paul had come by to visit with Heather about her investigation of Ji-Min's death. Heather told Paul that Jill had seen her with the files and that she was much better. Paul tells Heather that Jill is probably glad that someone cares. Heather apologizes for being a bit obsessive and Paul tells her it runs in the family more or less. Later at the coffee house Nick and Victoria discuss David. Nick says that Mom needs us. And they both agree that Nikki needs to protect her money from David.




Storyline 2 Adam
Adam spent the day with Heather. Adam wants to go for a midnight swim. The GCAC pool will be closed at that time but Adam says the pool at the ranch will be open. Heather tells Adam she thinks that's not a good idea. Adam says it's a great idea. Heather tells Adam that her and Victor have a history. Adams goes there immediately and she says no, not that kind of history. I once had him put in jail for murder. Adam seems intrigued and wants to know more. Was there evidence he asks. Heather says there were surveillance tapes and he did have a motive. She says Witnesses were pressured and bribed. Adam says why didn't you tell me before. Heather says she thought about it but she didn't. Adams says he has a unique ability to compartmentalize things. This is a different department he tells her. You are the only department open now. Heather wants to know if Victor will be at the ranch and Adam says him and Sabrina have gone to dinner and a movie. Heather asks two times so he won't be there? Adam assures Heather Victor will not be there. So Heather says OK. When they get to the ranch they discuss when Victor and Sabrina will be home. Heather tells Adam he has to have her out of the pool by 10 p.m. then. So they head to the ranch. At the ranch Adam says that his Mother Hope, had seen Victor as a great man. But Heather saw him as a killer. Heather tells Adam he thinks too much. Victor's dinner is interrupted by some business he has to take care of. Sabrina says they can go to a movie another time. Victor tells Sabrina they are going to Boston for the 4th of July. See the fireworks and the Pops. Sabrina says she'll go and check in with Jana at the coffee house. Victor goes to take his business call and that's where he is when he sees David leave with his suitcases and suspects there is a problem. So he goes and visits with Nick about it and then he goes home where he meets up with Sabina. Victor wants to know how Sabrina is feeling. She'd told him she had an upset stomach when he called earlier and he wanted to get her a doctor but Sabrina said it was just an upset stomach. She still isn't feeling great. She's going to go to bed. Sabrina tells Victor that she met with Victoria and things were better they talked about the Gala. Sabrina says all I care about is that this family is reconciled before the baby is born. Sabrina did not tell Victor that she had tried to tell Vikki about the baby but Vikki kind of blew what Sabrina was saying off and told Sabrina she better take notes on what they were talking about. She didn't want Sabrina making any Rookie mistakes. She also didn't tell Victor that she met up with JT after her and Victoria talked and she was really upset. Something to do with pressing her temples to which JT asks her if she knows about that too? They share a laugh and says yes. Sabrina said she used to tease Victoria about it until she laughed but tonight she wasn't laughing. Adrian was there also and he told Sabrina the article was going good and he'd just got off the phone with her old Professor. Sabrina looked a little stunned by that. Adrian told her that the old Professor was really her fan. Victor hears a noise as they are talking he says what's that? Sabrina says it seems that Adam must have some company. Adam and Heather come inside and run into Victor who has just said goodnight to Sabrina. Adam says I thought you were at a movie? Heather excuses herself to get dressed. Victor tells Adam that woman framed me for murder. Did you know that? Adam says yes she said there was some problem with evidence but she was just doing her job so don't hold it against her. Victor says let me be very clear with you son, that woman is not welcome in this house, OK? Adam looks stunned...

Storyline 3 Victoria

Victoria spent the day angry with JT for knowing about David and not telling her. JT defends what he did by saying that Victoria didn't have to sit by his bed and watch him and wonder if he'd live or die. He tells Victoria that if he is over protective of her for that reason then he's sorry that's just too bad but he is. Victoria blasts him and says you weren't sure if my Mother was living with a murderer and you weren't sure my Mom was in danger but you were sure you couldn't tell me. JT says there was no proof. Victoria wants to know what he does know. He tells her about the ex-wive, their suspicious deaths and the third wife and her accusations but she's certifiable. Victoria says there can be some truth even with people who are crazy. Victoria wants to know what part JT played in all of this. He says he got some employment records of David's for Paul. He says that he (JT) backed off but Paul kept on and that by this time Paul had told Nikki and she told him to back off but he didn't.
