I would like to believe in him. I also hope he is not involved in any plots against the Newman family. I think that he is very proud, and I think that he has ended up in very good standing (career wise) in his life without the help of Victor senior. This is something to be proud of. And he is definitely Victor's son. He is sexy, smart, rich, only issues is that he is still a puzzle to me, and he is trying too hard. Keep your mouth shut, he is pissing people off.... but again in the other hand he speaks his mind and you have to respect him for that. The only thing i really dont like him is for his romantic interest for Phyllis. That i just dont understand. I would stay far far away from her. Post reply 5 out of 6 found this valuable. He may be all the things u say he is but he does not portray himself that way. He comes across in his own doing as cocky, antagonistic, arrogant, belligerant & uncaring. He would do well to keep his mouth shut or since he is so smart to think before he opens it. I haven't been very impressed with son #2. I think it makes sense for Adam to be defensive around the spoiled Newman kids who have said outright, they never cared about getting to know him. This storyline has made me lose respect for them - especially Victoria. And of course, the character of Adam should really only be about 14! lol Post reply 2 out of 4 found this valuable. After watching today's episode (9/5), I am concerned that he will become extremely disappointed with his Father's decision (Victor is being excessively harsh & Adam has done nothing to deserve it, though I did see it coming. Victor's opinion of him matters a great deal to Adam. He naturally wants to please him, having not known him but a short time. On the other hand, I think he did act hastily while on his power trip after Victor's supposed death. He has his Mother's good heart, but his Father's pragmatism and business demeanor. He does have a lot to learn and needs to admit that to himself. He is one fine hunk! I find him extremely attractive. I'm 60, not dead yet! He has a natural charisma and I think he eventually will become the next Victor, though the path to that character may be long and difficult and cause him to betray his personal standards. He is going to become extremely bitter after Victor's firing him and I think he will team with Brad to go against him. Nick and Victoria (& Niki, too, for that matter) have all been far too unaccepting of him and should have had more concern for him from the beginning. Had they shown him just a little graciousness, I believe the whole situation would have been much more amicable. But amicable does not make for good Y & R viewing, does it?!!!
