"Finally Nikki realizes how much she loves David and agrees to marry him. August 17th at the Colonade Room. I sure hope Nikki realizes that David is getting ready to take her for a bunch of money. She walked right into his plan and made it easier. I'm sure since he's in charge of wedding arrangements he'll need some signed checks for the deposits and payments of the wedding. Hope none of them end up in his checking account to pay off his gambling debts. Brad's on him for installment payments for the money he loaned him and the bookie keeps calling and David keeps trying to make the one big bet her needs to bring himself out of this mess. Unfortunately I don't think that is going to work out for David and I think Nikki left herself wide open to be taken before, during and after the wedding. Sure hope she don't put David on the checking account to make it easier for him to pay for her gorgeous, lavish wedding. And just one other thing...Why does Nikki need a big gorgeous wedding? How many times has she had the big gorgeous wedding? I sure hope she adds no gifts to the invitation. Thoughs anyone? "

"I'm hoping Nikki will smarten up before this wedding actually goes through. She's got 3 more months to catch on. I'm not a big Nikki fan but even I cringe to see her humiliated like this. If she doesn't smarten up completely I hope she a least has the sense to sign a pre-nup agreement!"

"Re Nikki choosing the Colonade Room, it's kinda uncomfortable & in questionable taste to have her upcoming wedding in the same locale she wed Victor, but in Nikki's defense she can't be expected to remember where she's held all her weddings! ;-) I mentioned in another thread I hope she doesn't do the entire blushing bride scenario. If I had a say in it, I'd tell Nikki to have a casual, cozy ceremony followed by something fun & classy @ Neil's Indigo club. Instead of gifts she should ask for donations to a favourite charity.

David is such a complex character- I think he really does care about her and hate the thought of losing her or disappointing her. But he's gotten off too easy, first being bailed out by Nikki & now by Brad. I can't fault Nikki for getting him out of debt, I would have done the same thing, but it means David never hit bottom & as a result he hasn't faced up to his addictions. He's gotten in deeper with Brad & all the lies surrounding his recent gambling & unless he actually starts going to the meetings he tells Nikki he's attending, things are going to get worse for him. He hasn't fallen in too deep yet, he could set up - & keep- his payment plan to Brad & not taking on any new debts. True, Brad & Adam still know too much, but it's a start at least in getting his life back on track.

I just see David as being more troubled than evil. He genuinely does have some good business ideas & he's caring to Nikki. He isn't shown as someone who is smug about conning her but as someone who is always worried and tense. I really like him & I'm hoping he can get out of Brad's trap & get the help he needs. He has the potential to be a good husband & have a solid career but he's his own worst enemy & unfortunately think things will get worse not better.
