He says the right things and she finally sets the date for the wedding. He knows exactly what to say and do and he knows when to say it and do it. He is a master manipulator. I thought it was just Nikki being deaf, dumb, blind and stupid but it's not. He works her like a puppet. It really hit me today sitting there and watching him. He made her think it was her idea. She felt bad for David and didn't want him disappointed and he said the right things like it was all about her and what she wanted and she sucked it right up. Now she's married to this goof ball and I might I add that Nikki looked really pretty today and just beautiful in that dress and her hair and makeup were perfect. Such a radiant bride made this story even sadder. I honestly thought she was more beautiful today marrying David than she ever was with Victor. Did David manipulate me too? LOL "

"I agree that Nikki looked beautiful today. And I agree that David manipulates Nikki, but she's been around the block a few times so she allows it. Nikki likes for men to tell her what to do, I think it makes her feel needed and wanted. Then, when things go south it's never her fault and she wants to play the victim. If Nikki were younger and had no life experience i could feel bad for her, but she's done this too many times. At some point Nikki has got to realize that her actions have consequences and she can't expect for Victor to always save her--it's time she saved herself. "you are so right "Fire" I thought the same thing when they talked about putting off the wedding I was so happy for that one second, and then when I heard him say you will get the wedding you deserve I knew he had her and sure enough. He is a master manipulator. Sad very sad, and your right the fact that she looked so beautiful made it even sadder because she wasted all that on such a shmuck. I hope the writers find a happy ending to this storyline somewhere along the line."

"I've always defended David as being more troubled than evil but I do have to concede all the great points made in this discussion. I think the rushed wedding date was due more to the announced engagement between Victor & Sabrina than David's manipulations, but I did see the way he was doing the whole reverse psychology thing on her in Mexico & I knew she'd end up going through with the wedding. Nikki did look pretty- especially her hair, I loved her hair. Also some great points made about Nikki's neediness for male attention & affection & somebody else always having to rescue her being what has made her so gullible.

Just a thought, because I was thinking about someone's comment in another thread about whether or not the marriage is legal if David Chow is his alias? Wouldn't it have been something if David had accidentally signed the wrong name on the marriage certificate? After all, if you've gone by another name your entire life, wouldn't you be prone to slip ups like that? "I Clark, take thee Nikki....""
